Old Optic but worth the money!
This is an older optic, but it runs great and will last forever. I have had two of these for years ,and they still work and have had zero issues.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Strike Fire I I
I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but I have multiple firearms with Vortex scopes on them and I couldnt be happier. Great product and great price!
StrikeFire II today
Shot my Vortex scope on new .308 loved it . Shot my new Sig 1x6 on my AR-15 loved it . Shot my buddy’s Ar-15 with his StrikeFire red dot and had a BLAST. 100 yards 10” plate hanging in chain absolutely fun!! Going to recommend to a family member after typing this .
Great Product/ Great Value
I have used Eotech for many years and this product, though different, lends itself to being a go-to for close targets. It is a little on the heavy side, but a great product.
Best Red Dot for your Money
This one has a Red and a Green Dot that you can pick from plus Vortex Warranty Great for the Range
Very nice red dot.
Easy on the eye. Plenty of light level adjustment to use in any conditions. I prefer the Green Dot. That this sight also has built in. Easy to sight in. Very well made and the lens covers are a big plus. The warranty on these are among the the best you can get Lifetime! I would recomend and buy again. Vortex makes some very nice products. Backed by lifetime warranties you cant go wrong. For one in this price range.
Why Spend More?
Shot Aimpoint M68s and ACOGs as an infantryman and loved them both. Now that Im a civilian and gear is no longer issued to me, spending the money for either of those is not practical. Lets face it, you probably wont be using your rifle for combat anytime here at home. I am not a competitive shooter and do not need an optic that costs more than my rifle did. This is a well build Red/Green Dot sight that will serve you well for many years. Its got flip-up lens protectors that will protect it while being transported in your car or through foliage. It holds zero and works in temperature ranges almost identical to higher end red dots. The StrikeFire is lower 1/3 cowitness which means that you will be able to see iron sights in the lower 1/3 of the tube, allowing you to keep shooting if the battery should die. I like red dot optics because you are able to shoot with both eyes open and no matter where your head is when looking through the tube you will hit what you are aiming at if the dot is on target (parallax free). The StrikeFire 2 is waterproof and nitrogen filled to prevent internal fogging. This unit is imported but has quality comparable to an Aimpoint. A Vortex flip up magnifier can be mounted behind it as well although I do not plan to do so.
Great Optic for Price
I wasn't sure what to expect for the price versus other optics available at much higher cost. It is a high quality unit, and is built very well. It was easy to mount, and sight in. The client was very happy with its abilities. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good optic on a budget.
Well Made Very Durable
I am a Law enforcement Officer and have been since 1978 as such I was part of the transition of Law Enforcement firearms from revolvers to semi autos in the late 1980s. I was part of this natural progression and as such I became very familiar with the bottom line needs for Firearms and the associated equipment that we and I in Law Enforcement bet our lives on everyday and the rock bottom attributes needed for firearms or Firearms equipment is DURABILITY and RELIABILITY. I recently purchased a Strikefire II Red Dot sight made by Vortex before the purchase I read reviews and was very im pressed with the Strikefire II reviews. I bought my red dot at Academy sports and it was just under $200.00 which I have found was a TOTAL BARGAIN after experiencing the performance of this optic I would have PAID easily double that amount and still would have claimed Bargain. As I said I am in Law Enforcement and as such my Weapons are fired and tested often by me for obvious reasons so when I bought this Strikefire I mounted it on my M&P 15 and went to the range I took 6 rounds to zero the Strikefire and then I tested the Optic as follows 1. I submerged the Strikefire II in about Four Feet of Cold Water for 1 hour 45 minutes NO Leaking at all NO Fogging 2. I then threw the strikefire II downrange on the hardpan ground FOUR times NO DAMAGE and the optic continued to run. 3.I remounted the Strikfire II on my M&P 15 and the Strikefire II was holding Zero just as before. 4. I then with the Strikefire still attached to M&P 15 threw the Rifle Optic first onto the hardpan ground FOUR time from waist and shoulder height then I test fired the Strikefire the Optic held zero as before. My test shots to zero and then to varify holding zero were at 50 yards. These test I conducted put this optic threw more rought treatment then the optic will probably experience the rest of it,s time on my Rifle however this proves conclusivley to me that the STRIKEFIRE II is DURABLE and completley RELIABLE well done VORTEX you should start pursuing the LAW ENFORCEMENT and M ILITARY Market., your products are asgood if not better then some optics that the Military and Law Enforcemnet currently use.

I've had this model now for over a year with zero issues. Recently added the Vortex 3X magnifier, and both work great! Shot close to 900 rounds through my built AR-15, and not one issue with no adjustment needed. I shot it outside in bright daylight, and it was easy to see the red and green dots while also wearing sunhlasses! Worth every penny. Highly recommend this over an aim point if cost is an issue.
