Great Combo
Great setup for the price. Mounted on a braced .308 pistol and pretty much covers all my needs; true 1x & 1/2 donut reticle make for a very good red-dot substitute, and 8x extends the use out to several hundred yds. Wish it was a little smaller, but even the $1k+ LPVOs all seem to hover around 10.
awesome Scope
Love this scope. Easy to use, bright and works great. Clear view and good focusing. At 100 yards it's vey clear. Have not ysed it at longer ranger yet.
Excellent scope
I put this scope on an AR to use in 3 Gun competition. Very clear and the reticle is fast and easy to shoot at various distances. The throw lever is a nice addition, and very useful when switching from close to distant targets.
Outstanding value!
This scope works well with a flat-topped AR-15. It has very good clarity and is easy to adjust. It is very accurate and holds zero on the button. A great scope for the price, plus you get the mount as an added value.
Replaced my ACOG
This is a very versatile optic. I use mine for CQB and mid distance (700 yards). The glass is extremely clear and the adjustment is smooth. I added a throw handle to the optic ring to make faster adjustments. The eye relief is perfect when used with the Vortex mount or one similar. After trying mine, two fellow shooters purchased this optic also. And yes its true, my very expensive ACOG is now neatly stored in my safe. This Strike Eagle just gave me far more options with NO settling for less. If your fussy about your equipment and need to save dollars while your at it, this is for you. Believe me, you wont be settling.
Exceptional value for scope
This is an exceptional value for a scope of this quality. An added plus is that the mount is included. It was easy to zero, maintains zero, and had very good clarity. I haven't used the lighted crosshairs to shoot yet but they are adjustable for brightness. Mounted it on a recently built AR15 and it is great. Easy mount. Looking forward for a lot of shooting fun with this scope.
Not happy, quality control issues
Solid good looking scope. Pretty clear vibrant view. Like the functional etching / reticle design. But in 1x had severe wavy fish bowl / fish eye view, severe mis-alignment of the object in the view causing double vision with 2 eyes open, the eye position forgiveness was not great especially at higher magnification, object size in the 1x view was too far away from true 1x, highest illumination did not work well in bright light, and it came with a broken turret mechanism from the factory. Vortex has one of the better Warranty services in the business luckily, but might also be lacking in their quality control.
