Works awesome!
I have an old military surplus rifle from the 1800s with the stock about broken into and both rear sides of the tang had big cracks. I drilled holes and inserted these pins with the threads covered with glue and they turned out really nice! Once they cure over night just clip them off and file down flush. They file down really easy and dont look bad. Main thing is that they should hold everything together really good! This was the 1st time using these and having a stock this bad but it was super easy!

Perfect fix
Went to my Gun Smith decided he could fix this and it will be the strongest part of the stock once it’s done. We used the Brownell’s stock repair pins. Did a perfect repair. Since I had it done I’ve shot over 150 rounds of 765x53 Argentine rounds no problems

Very useful
I use these on new walnut stock builds. One behind the recoil lug recess and one behind the trigger cutout. It’s easier to prevent a crack than fix it. A jig for your drill press and careful measuring is required but I’ve never had one go bad. Install before finishing, cut flush and sand to a perfect flush fit. Job done.

Stock repair pins kit
I used these pins in two very old stocks that were badly cracked. An old H&R hammerless shotgun, and a Stevens Gill Gun .22. Followed the instructions, and the stocks ate solid, and look good.
Outstanding
I used this kit to reinforce repairs I made to a Ashley Fox shotgun stock that was severely cracked and split. Easy to use, drill the holes using a drill press to ensure you get the holes in straight. Screw the pins in and cut them off. File then sand smooth.
Great Product
Been using this product to repair stocks for years. Easy to use and makes a solid repair.
Great Product
After breaking a stock on a nice full length flintlock muzzleloader I was told by a gun smith that was too busy for my rifle at the time about the repair kit and how to use it. Ordered the kit, and with some studying on the stock, I did the repair and it nearly looked unbroken except for the two small brass dots in the stock. Have used it on many modern rifles and a few muzzleloaders since. I use Devcon 2 ton, slow cure epoxy on all repairs and it has never let me down. I did use the glass wrap on one muzzleloader and covered it with rawhide and it looked like it had been repaired 100 years earlier. Great product.
Best to have
I have been using the pins on broken stocks for years. They are great to use on broken stocks. They keep the broken stocks together when used right.
Outstanding!!
I used it to repair a stock that had been badly split. It belonged to a friend who wanted to pass his rifle that his grandfather owned to his son for Christmas. It was a .30-06, and after testing the fix at the range, I was impressed with the strength it added to the stock. A VERY strong and reliable solution, and very easy to install. It would be nice to have instructions on how best to install it so that it shows on only one side of the stock. There are many ways you can go with that, but what is the best?
