CNC machined, threaded brass bushings provide added strength and security for screwing down sling studs, recoil pads, and triggerguards in wood, composite, and fiberglass stocks. Lets you turn a screw in tight without the worry of stripping it out of the stock material. Heavily knurled on the outside to hold plenty of epoxy bedding for a rock-solid grip between the insert and stock.

SPECS: Brass, knurled. Ѕ" (12.7mm) long x 5?16" (7.9mm) diameter. All inserts have 10-32 tpi internal threads. Sling Stud Inserts - (2) inserts, (2) steel, dome-top sling studs, matte blued.

10/32 stock inserts

drilled and tapped my magpul X22 stock and forearm, didn't need the inserts just wanted the dome swivel studs. This small project turned out very well. Will be used with a 1" wide hunting rifle sling. Lightweight 22 rifle. The brass inserts look to be very well made even though I did not use them.

Good Option for a secure Stud mount

If any part of this process concerns you, don't do this yourself. You need to properly drill your stock, and securely anchor these studs to be in alignment when the epoxy sets up. This was a relatively easy process as long as you thought through it and had everything you needed.

Worked for my 1950s Remington 721

The product is great and works well, but they need to write down some instructions maybe tell what size drill bit to use or if you want a glue to be used with it. Would really save a ton of time and guessing. Only not giving 5 stars because of that. I would rather be charged an extra buck or two and have it come with a cheap drill bit of proper size and marked out depth.
