Boyd's SS Evolution 10/22 stock
I wanted to make the Boyd's ss Evolution stock fit me better. I use it for sage rats and after a day of shooting my neck would start hurting. This adjusts down about 3/4" and twists out out which was perfect to raise the comb of the stock and fit my shoulder. A few mods were needed like drilling holes. I have not shaped it to the stock yet. However, once I do I will duracoat it to match the receiver. I would buy another once I fit this one.

Just right
I mounted this plate on an old single-barrel Winchester 101 Trap that I recently purchased. Stock had been cut so far back to the point it was midway in the slope of the Monte Carlo. It had also been cut at such a "custom" angle that spacers and a thick pad would not have allowed for a proper fit. The gun was absolutely useless for me although I knew that going in. I installed one of these along with a T550 Pachmayr Trap Pad. Fitting the plates was tedious with much "cut, grind, and try" but the end result is a great fitting stock. I polished the exposed edges to a shiny finish with a sequence of filing, sanding, and rubbing with 0000 steel wool and "Mother's Aluminum Mag Polish." Due to the Monte Carlo being butchered, I had to lower the pad to what appears to be an excessive amount, but with the adjustments on this plate, I was able to get a perfect fit for me. The option of fitting the plate to the size of the recoil pad rather than fitting the recoil pad to a stock or a spacer has allowed for a greater area for recoil to occur. Might help with felt recoil. You don't have to be a machinist or an expert gunsmith to install this plate, but basic wood and metal working skills are essential. The fitting of the plates to the stock and recoil pad and the use of a forstner bit near an existing hole takes time and patience.

Great product. Not too hard to install.
Used 80" band saw to rough down the shape and then a combo sander to finish it out. Polished w/ bench grinder, cloth wheels and compound. It can be shaped slightly lower on stock (off center) to get an additional amount of pad drop. I have fit six of these so far to all manner of guns (Stoeger, Beretta, Mossberg 500, Rem 11-87) including one on a synthetic stock and all are solid and worth the money! Also fitted standard plate to Beretta AL391Urika II. (I needed the additional pad drop.) Needed to sand out inside of stock for LOP screw but was fast and easy w/ rotary rasp. Won't be able to add recoil reducer tho on some semi autos due to in stock gizmos But if you have 1.5" of clearance from end of stock mounting nuts, this will fit autos.

Got rid of my son's black and blue cheek
Easy to install if you take your time. Put the gun at the right level and got rid of the cant the gun had when mounted. My son does not have to adjust his neck so far now to look down the barrel correctly. Got rid of the black and blue cheek.

Works so good I bought another
I had one installed on my Trap Single shot and loved it so much I bought another for my Over/Under. This is a great product and I will buy more as needed.

used to set up for F class
I added to a Remington Sendero stock to allow raising the butt pad to get more straight back recoil. It worked well for that application but took a lot of sanding and grinding to match it to the stock. It would be nice if they offered it in smaller sizes.
