Required adjustments
I am still honing the sight base to fit it to the carbine.

Not bad, might be like original
The "sled" that the peephole rides up and down on is wiggly (technical term). You can lift up on it ever so slightly. It appears to be spring loaded to settle back down. This might be exactly the way it was originally designed...so I can't complain if they followed the original. The left and right adjustment doesn't really have any positive "clicks". Seems like it wants to click, but you might go half a turn of the adjustment knob before you can feel anything. This shortcoming will be solved with blue locktite. Now, a positive, at 35 yards with the factory front sight on my "new" Auto Ordnance rifle, the 100 yard sight mark was dead on. With my handloads, I got an inch group with three in the same hole. That surprised me. Overall, not really better than the factory two hole flip sight, but I will have to put this on a sandbag for 100-200 yard testing. At 100 yards, standing, unsupported, it shot about 1 foot low. Will have to file down the front sight to get elevation right. I am not even going to try 300. You start going out to that distance...that's why the Good Lord, in his infinite wisdom, invented the 6.5 Grendel.
