Best lower vice block I've used. I have others but they fit is loose. This Real Avid unit adjusts tension and stays tight in the magwell. Great addition to my tool box.

This is a fantastic vise block for my AR rifles - no more hard on - hard off and tippy up and down. This is secure, and the little the little upper clip is so convenient - a great tool for working on my AR.
A tool every AR-15 owner should have
I use it to clean and to do build work on AR-15's and what I like about this vise block is that you can tighten the vise so you do not have a wiggle while working on the upper or lower, you can also invert your receiver on to the vise and do trigger work etc. And lastly, you get the pivot lock as an extra to hold your upper open hands free for cleaning, etc. Take a portable bench vise and this block vise along with you when you go out shooting and you can do field repairs and cleanings at the range, the hunting camp or wherever you can clamp one down, it is sure to impress other shooters at the range or your friends at the hunting camp, my tailgate on my pickup works for me... What more can you ask for??? Ya gotta love it, I do...

Awesome product so far. Fits AR15 mag wells great especially with the adjustability of it. Great product for a solid price. Holds up well to being snugged down in the vise and handles torquing required on castle nut and barrel nut. Glad I bought it.
Right Tool for any Build or Maintenan
Built 2 new AR15's this weekend. Used this block for both builds. I cannot stress enough the importance of a safe and stabilized project you can obtain using this accessory. Holds extremely well in a Table Vice. The Pivot Lock works quite well. The vice block fits nicely inside of the mag-well and there was no rattle or play what-so-ever. Tried on several rifles, same snug fit. Very easy to use and very highly recommended. No matter if you are building or performing any maintenance. This item is something I wished I had found years ago! The only caveat to be aware of is that if you want to invert your lower receiver in the vice (such as working on trigger guard, etc.), do know that the bolt-stop will be in the way and this tool does not compensate for the bolt stop having already been installed. There is a bolt that spans the height of the vice-block. As you turn the red bottom handle (clock-wise/tightening), you will see that the upper mag-well internal component (red) will travel down the vice-block to spread the sides. This is not only useful for tightening a slightly loose mag-well (hopefully your mag-well is of proper specs though) but will hold the entire lower receiver snugly and safely should you have NOT yet installed the mag-release. Highly Recommended!
Make Your Own Gun Vice
I made my own Gun Vice mounting a 4" drill press vice on a workable platform, with a lazy susan on the bottom for 360' versatility and turning. The vice holds the Smart-Fit AR15 Block allowing me to work, clean or build my AR's. Total cost about $25.
