Brute swivels are constructed with advanced polymer for smooth, quiet operation without squeaking or scratching the stock. Threaded steel cross-screw locks the swivel to the base; includes a knurled end with screwdriver slot for easy turning. Resistant to corrosion. Purchase swivel set and screw set separately.

solid construction

These swivels will keep your favorite rifle securely attached to it's sling. These seem more substantial than the ones from our Uncle. I have had other detachable swivels open up unexpectedly. There is never a good time for this type of failure.

Hardcore

I love things that are rugged and simple. These swivels will hold up to abuse. I use them for all of my civilian long guns.

Great QD loops

I was looking for some QD loops to make easy transitions between plinking and league shooting. I chose these specifically because of the negative reviews about the loops not being roomy enough. I don't use a thick old school leather or biothane sling, and I wanted something that wouldn't have a lot of slop for a comparatively thin nylon web sling, and these are fantastic for that purpose.

They're my favorite!

I purchased a 'Super Sling' a while ago that came w/these, and love them! All steel,matte finish Quick release button takes good 20lb+ force to open. Very dependable. Using one of these to fasten front of a 2-point sling to bi-pod on front of AR. None of these loops from Outdoor Connection come up when searching for slings/sling swivels, & I'm the only reviewer. Would likely sell more if easier to find on website.

Better than the competition

I ordered these after being disappointed with another brand I previously ordered, also from Brownells. I gave the other brand a poor rating. But to get to this one. Much happier with the Talon sling swivels These don't have a locking feature, but the spring is pretty hard and I can't imagine them opening by themselves. For a few cents more, it is no contest. Meh...

As stated earlier, Biothane and really any thick sling will not work with these. Canvas or any thin material should be fine but definitely not for target shooters. I do like the fact they are heavy duty, out of 10 sets I have yet to break any even with 15 lbs rifles. Really think the company should recall this batch and replace them with some that are just a bit larger to fit all slings.

don't waste your money

I went to install a turner biothane sling onto these swivels, the swivels will not fit over the sling hooks. I applied light preasure to push hook and sling through and the swivel BROKE! Save your self the trouble and buy the Uncle Mikes Mil-Spec swives, They don't break and the sling fits...
