SINCLAIR PRIMING TOOL SHELLHOLDERS

SINCLAIR PRIMING TOOL SHELLHOLDERS Reviews & Ratings

Shellholders for the Sinclair Priming Tool.

The Sinclair Priming Tool is one of the finest tools we manufacture. Handloaders around the world have told us “this is the best priming tool in the world”. The Sinclair Priming Tool is manufactured from the finest materials available. The main body, head, and punch housings are all made of stainless steel, the handle is machined from aircraft grade aluminum, and the pins and pushrod are hardened. These materials insure the owner a lifetime of trouble-free use.

The Sinclair Priming Tool comes complete with housings and punches for both large and small primers. The tool head utilizes Sinclair Priming Tool Shellholders and locks the case head square to the priming punch. The leverage of the tool is outstanding, yet extremely sensitive so you can feel the primer entering the primer pocket and bottoming out. Our tool is made for single feeding of primers.

Our tool is expensive but made with consideration for quality and to provide the user with a well-made tool that will last a lifetime and more. There are no plastic parts to wear or break.

Best priming tool
Having competed in Schutzn matches for over 35 years and using several different priming tools This is the finest made and most prescription units I have ever used including the Pope type. I even use it in place of my bench type unit.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Best Handheld Priming Tool
Few reasons I believe this is the best compared to several other hand priming tools I have either owned or tested: 1. It is not rim thickness dependent which means that variations in rim thickness do not affect primer seating depth. 2. It is very high quality with strong parts. 3. You can vary the primer seating depth with the use of shims. I purchased metal shims to adjust my primer seating depth.
5
Sinclair Shell Holder Head
I purchased the Sinclair priming tool several years ago and the quality and function have been outstanding. I recently have purchased a second shellholder head to save a little setup time for other cartridges that I reload. As with all other Sinclair products that I have purchased, I have complete confidence that this product will be outstanding as well.

Great Product
This priming head for the Sinclair priming tool works great. I use to prime cases for my .338 Lapua Magnum and I only use Lapua brass for my .338. I have not had a single negative issue with this tool when priming my brass.

Out of spec
I bought the Sinclair priming tool for the quality and precision tool that is is supposed to be. I bought the .223 one piece shell holder head because I thought it should be more precise than using the universal priming head that comes with the tool and using a shell holder insert. The shell holder head that I received wont lock the case into the priming tool which is one of the main features of this tool. I hope I just got one that is out of spec. I have tried several different brands of brass and none will lock in. I will return this one and try again

Good, if you don't use Lapua brand brass
My rating would have been 5 star; until recently, when I started trying to prime some Lapua brand brass. Using Hornady brand brass the tool was great, alignment was perfect, and I couldn't have asked for more, from a priming tool. Then I tried priming Lapua brand cases, and they don't fit in the holder, at all. No problem, the tool also came with the holder for use with your shell holder right? Wrong. I've tried 3 different brands of shell holders and the priming ram is too big to fit into the hole in the shell holders. Now I have 100 Lapua brass sitting waiting to prime, and fearing I might have to use the press, since this tool won't prime them.

POS
The inside top of this item has two small holes drilled into it. The inside of the holes on my unit were so rough I had to grind and polish on them a LOT before I could insert a shell holder (SINCLAIR!) all the way to the top to be useful. Shoddy workmanship, shouldn't be this way!
