best one out there
best one out there, have several.
The Northerner
A Necessity for medium to long range shooting.
Low profile level
Mounted on a benchrest scope. I like the low profile compared to other options. I level the mechanical rest and then I ensure the rifle is level with this before the relay starts. But I don't need to see the level while actually shooting. Because the offset is less than others, it does require a bit of head movement for me to see when in shooting position. But this one works great for my needs.
Solid Product with Unique Feature
The Sinclair Scope Level is a "best of the best" selection in my opinion. I have used other levels for military and hunting purposes but am sold on this one because it mounts low over the scope tube but has minimal but adequate offset to allow the bubble to be seen easily with the non-shooting eye with my head in place behind the scope. This design protects the level from damage (I've broken the fold out designs when forced to make a hasty move and forgetting to fold the level inward). I shoot all weapons with both eyes open for better peripheral vision and depth perception. The design of the Sinclair level allows my non shooting eye to superimpose the level into the upper right quadrant of the scope reticle without having to look around the scope or close my shooting eye. Thus, I can see the cross hairs on the target and the bubble of the level without taking my eye off the target. Shooting is faster and more accurate. I strongly recommend both the Sinclair level and this shooting technique. Mounting the level forward and to the left side as shown on the website is critical to this achieving this optical technique for a right handed shooter. Naturally, reverse the scope if shooting lefty.
Nice, well made level
Solid construction and well made. Would be nice if someone could design one with the screws on top. Only issue was when I initially attempted to unscrew the screws it took over 65 inch-lbs of torque to loosen the screws. I actually reamed one screw head out and had to use a screw remover tool. No need to package them this tight.
"Simple yet effective"
I use this on a 6.5 x 20 scope for long range target and varmint shooting. This simple device assists in keeping scope level, thus increasing accuracy by consistant level of reticle (decreasing cant). It does take a few minutes to get bubble level with reticle and gun. At the range, since installing, I have seen a marked decrease in bullet group size.
Well worth it
Solid construction, allows you to look through the scope with one eye and still see the level with the other.
Excellent product Have three of these.
On bench rest Cooper 204 ruger. Easy to see. Works well in the field for hunting also!
Good product
Nice add on for target/competitive shooting, good fit, offset easier to see.
Nicely built but a challenge to install.
It is a nicely built product and functions wells. It is a challenge to mount with the screws installed from the bottom. Also, Sinclair does not provide a 7/64" allen wrench with the level for installation.
