SINCLAIR AR-15 BOLT VISE

SINCLAIR AR-15 BOLT VISE Reviews & Ratings

Our bolt vise helps you disassemble your AR-15 bolt easily and without losing any parts. The main function of the tool is to compress the ejector so you can remove the spring pin easily. This enables you to release the pressure on the ejector slowly so the ejector and spring don't go flying off your workbench. The ejector and spring can be replaced if needed and the bolt reassembled easily. The tool cradles the bolt and holds it firmly in place while the screw assembly compresses the ejector. A hole in the vise allows the pin to drop free. The tool can also be used to hold the bolt securely while replacing gas rings and replacing the extractor. NOTE: We recommend you replace the ejector roll pin when reassembling. A 1/16" #1 ROLL PIN PUNCH is required to remove the pin.

Great Little Tool Thats Worth Buying
Nice little tool thats well made and short last a lifetime. Makes breaking down the bolt much easier and faster when installing & removing the ejection pin & roll pin. My only issues are I wish the drilled hole meant for the roll pin was alittle larger and I wish the screw knob was alittle bigger. Well worth it to me to have the correct tools when building AR sytle rifles.

Works and is a good value
Simple and effective tool for disassembling bolts. It just works and is priced within reason compared to alternatives. I've used this to disassemble multiple bolts for inspection and checking headspace on barrels. Again it just works with little drama. As far as negative reviews go I'm sure those folks may have got a bad one, but with Brownells' Forever Guarantee its simple to replace and try a second one.

AR-15 Bolt Vice
I am glad I got this- the decision being made to save $30 under the competition. I have used both tools- both work the same and fine (so why pay $60?). This tool is sturdy, holds the bolt very securely, and I have yet to find a bolt that it did not work with. After 50+ bolts for ejector changes, checking headspace and general maintenance for my team members, it is still going strong. The only thing that has happened are small wear marks on either side of the main lug holding section, from bolt lugs touching the surface while the bolt is being secured. This has no issue with function, it is purely cosmetic. Not much else to say, but just get it. If you do have an issue (since not everything manufactured is always perfect as a few have experienced) exchange it. Brownells has phenominal CS.

Pricey But Made Things Alot Easier & Fas
First this item should be more like $20 IMO. The bolt vise itself is well made and will last me a life time of removing AR15 bolt ejector pins. Made removing the ejector pin & roll pin super easy and super fast. The roll pin hole lined up and I was able to pound the roll pin out the entire way. Made installing my new JP enhanced ejector pin very simple. Yes there's many different ways you could do this with out a vise and Yes there's more expensive bolt vises out there but this is probably the best option for the price and it will help change out a bolt ejector with no problems.

Perfect tool for the task
I have used the vice on 5.56 and 6.5 Grendel (small format AR-15 rifles. It does exactly what it supposed to do. It holds the bolt securely as you tighten the large mob that secures the ejector. You can easily punch the roll pin out while the ejector stays put. When your ready, gradually unscrew the nob and remove the ejector and spring with your fingers. No pressure, no shooting it across the room. The roll pin drops safely in a space where its trapped by a magnet. Going back together is just as easy. Replace spring and set ejector in place tightening the vice. The ejector will be compressed and held in place while you drop in the roll pin. This device will not work on large format (AR-10) rifles.
