Pachymar grips
An awesome product at a good price. Was shipped very quickly. Gives texture to a traditional 1911 front strap that lacks it. Aggressive texture on the sides really gives great purchase for your grip. I have one on my commander size and full size 1911s.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Longtime fan and user
I've used Pachs on just about every handgun I own. But the auto grips are just the ticket for a superb grip. My hands are large (and arthritic) therefore a fuller grip with a good textured surface is necessary and for me they are the best option.

Great Quality Grips
These are the best grips, hands down, for a 1911 on the market. I recently got a Kimber Stainless LW that did not have checkering on the front strap. This solved the problem nicely and makes the weapon more secure in the hand. I have used Pachmayr grips on 1911s and revolvers for years and have never been disappointed in them. they are easy to install and last for a long time. One thing you need to know before you order: the checkering on these is sharp. If you are wanting a little texture above smooth wood grips, this is not for you. It does get better after use, but these are made to make sure you have absolute control of the weapon during recoil. If you carry concealed, the checkering will also make friends with your mid section if you are not wearing an undershirt. I have not found a grip that is as good as Pachmayr for comfort in hand, durability, and price. I highly recommend.

Nice front strap checkering
These grips came on my Springfield 1911 Loaded MC Operator. The rubber is much more dense and firm than I anticipated, not a bad thing at all. In addition, if your 1911 doesnt have front strap checkering, this is a great way to get that feel. They look great as well. Solid quality build, they snap into place, retaining most of the fit within the grip itself. I dont know of another grip on the market like this, so if you want to keep shopping for another grip like this as an option, I can save you some time and say, just get these ones. They are amazing.

Classic Pachmayr
This grip is a little tight fitting and requires some effort to install. The effort is well worth it. The gun fits my hand perfectly now. It's like a custom grip

Makes a Great Pistol Better!
This version of the 1911 grip by Pachmayr is my favorite. It's very easy to replace the stock grips on the 1911 with this one. It's an extremely comfortable grip, a large improvement over the stock grip in that there is virtually no movement of the pistol in your hand from recoil. It's also an upgrade at safety because there is less slippage with the Pachmayr's soft rubber grip. My shooting increased measurably in that I scored 25-40% higher bullseyes at all distances than with the previous wooden checkered grips. I would definetely recommend this product to anyone who's looking for a solid but inexpensive upgrade to their pistol.

Game changer for me
Bought these to put on a new Ruger 1911 Target model. No checkering on the front strap and slick but attractive grips had the gun moving around in my hand. Very nice that the product description for this particular grip stated that there was a relief cut for the right side ambi safety. That is a must have if you have ambi's. These were a little tricky to get on. As with most things gun you need 3 hands to do the job. Finally got the grip on, headed to the range and the difference in "controllability" and accuracy was night and day. Not for everybody as some folks just dont like rubber grips and they are not as nice looking as Rosewood or as tacticool as some of the G10 grips but they really work for me.

Good Wrap-Around Grips
Installed a pair on a Colt Commander. They were a tight fit but they fit nonetheless. The grips do add a little bit of width to the grip, which I find to be more comfortable. Dependent upon one's preferences the wrap-around portion of the grip provides a cheap alternative for checkering. The grip is of medium roughness, certainly not as rough as actual metal. I would have preferred them to be a little more substantial. Honestly in my experience, rubber-wrap-around 1911 grips are either love/hate. Some people swear by them while others swear them off. If you like them or think you might, Pachmayr is pretty much the standard to which all other grips of this kind are judged.

Maybe safest grips for the 1911 style
The Pacmayr 02919GM provides perhaps the most in safety from magazine explosion ect. All the time making for a very comfortable feel. Affordable yet the best bet for the all around all purpose grip stock for any 1911 Colt/clone style pistol. Really can't go wrong with these. Get a pair!

very aggressive grip
The greatest advantage of this grip is that its completly checkerd and is a very positve grip in your hand. Have used other grips with finger groves but this Pachmayr is a stand out. There's no need to adjust your grip once you grab your gun.
