Outstanding Tool and Worth the Price!
NOTE: You will need to go to the MGW site and watch the complete video. It’s a training video that will make your sight install go perfectly. The video is very well done and explains everything perfectly. After watching the full video, I flawlessly removed and installed the front sight for my Sig P365xl. It does take knowing the details from watching the MGW video so take the time to do that. This is a very high quality USA made tool that will cover your front and rear sight installation needs for 95+% of all handguns. Incredibly versatile and precise. I tried it first on my Sig P365xl and easily installed a new tritium front sight. This was by far the easiest method I have ever used to install sights.
Fine Tool!
After trying a less expensive sight mover on my new S&W M&P9 Shield Plus with a dead front night sight, I purchased the MGW Rangemaster Compact Universal Sight Tool. It was a good decision. MGW has devised a way to lock the pistol's slide into the tool using this perfectly fitted "slide shoe", which slides into the grooves in the base of the slide and then attaches to matching parts in the "mover". Everything fits snuggly and there is no "wiggle" anywhere. I removed the front sight in minutes and installed a new sight without any problems. This slide shoe is offered for different makes of pistol and it makes it economical to own the Rangemaster tool and a necessary variety of slide shoes to work on more than one model of pistol. I am obviously an enthusiastic supporter of this fine American-made tool and suggest you skip the cheaper tools and just buy this one.
