The specially designed Brownells Shotgun Mainspring Tool shortens the time and eliminates the frustration that goes along with changing mainsprings in double barrel shotguns. The notched blade tip captures the plunger head so you can compress the spring and lift both parts free from the receiver. No more scratching and gouging the plunger or inner receiver surfaces with an ordinary screwdriver. The Brownells Shotgun Mainspring Tool works equally well for installation. Simply seat the end of the mainspring in the receiver, hook the blade notch around the plunger head, compress the spring, and engage the plunger in the hammer. The stout, hardened steel shank of the tool provides plenty of leverage and keeps you close to your work for maximum control. Instructions are included with the Brownells Shotgun Mainspring Tool.
Shotgun Mainspring Tool dimensions: 6-1/4” overall length x 5/16” diameter shank, 1” diameter handle
