My Second Scout Mount
My first Clifton Scout mount is on my Ruger M77 Mountain rifle riding in an old Six Enterprises plastic stock. This .308 eventually loosened the glass bedding compound as a result of rapid fire heating the pencil barrel and, of course, the mount. It was an easy fix with J-B Weld rated for higher temps found in my specific application. This is a robust product that has shown no appreciable wear in the 15(?) years I've had it. Note: bedding compound IS INCLUDED with the product.
