Great brake
I am new to the suppressor world, but have a few guns that came with this brake installed. I have since changed the muzzle devices on all of my 5.56's to this brake. It works great alone or it allows the cans to fit on any rifle. Looks great too.

Good muzzle brake and silencer adapter
Fits the Sandman silencer perfectly. Also works as a muzzle brake without the silencer.
Awesome Keymount muzzle brake
This is my favorite Keymount accessory made by Dead Air. It is extremely well made and robust. It looks great and doesn't give the appearance that something is missing like most adapters do. The lock-up when installing the suppressor is fast and precise. I really like the flash hider as well, but the muzzle brake seems more functional and useful. I even like it on light weight AR 15's as the reduce recoil somewhat and help control muzzle climb. For the price it would be nice if Dead Air included some washer shims for install.
Great product
After trying this unit on a 300 Blackout, I have taken to adding these, plus the 1/2 x 28 version on all of my rifles. The included shims make it very easy to time the compensator correctly. A very well thought out product.
Great brake
This is my fourth Deadair muzzle brake, I have one on a .243, one on a 6.8 and one on a 5.56--this one will go on a .300 Blackout. They function superbly and don't corrode, I just flush them with Rem Oil, wipe them off, and they are ready for next time. I use them both with and without my Sandman-S suppressor. Super design on retaining the suppressor, never ever any looseness and comes right off when I want it to. I do have them installed by my gunsmith--a little pain and expense, but my choice.
Dead Air Brake DA102
I'm running two of these 7.62 Dead Air keymount brakes. One is on a SCAR17 (with KBAC shoulder ring) and the other on a CMMG Mk3. Both installed fairly easily and were darn near dead on with my Saker cans when checked with a Geissele alignment rod. These do come with timing shims, although the O.D is considerably wider than the barrel diameter. With the SCAR17's unique barrel profile, I opted to use a set of AAC shims. Also, an FYI regarding the SCAR, this is one if the muzzle devices which will not fit thru the KDG MREX rail. With a bit of creativity and patience, however, both parts can be compatible. Regarding performance, it's your typical 3 chamber brake. Recoil impulse is straight to the rear with almost no muzzle rise. I've shot it indoors but I can't attest to its claim of less concussion because unfortunately I was the only one on the line. Overall, I believe this product is an excellent value at a competitive price range.
