Very Reliable Springs
I have added Wolff springs to many Uberti revolvers in the past, both cartridge and cap & ball and they fit perfectly without modification and are very reliable. They give a much better reduced power hammer pull than stock factory springs. TIP: Add a 5mm x 5/32-in x 1mm stainless steel lock washer to the main spring screw as a spacer between the trigger guard and main spring. This extra 1mm of distance will reduce the hammer pull even more. I have read that back in the old days, they used leather banjo washers for this trick to reduce hammer pull.

Wolff Springs
This is my sixth set. I'm cowboy shooter and rely upon Wolff springs. They are lighter than factory springs but always give reliable ignition regardless of primer brand.
Great Spring
I put this on my Uberti Desperado .45 Colt. It fit perfect. It lightened up the hammer pull and mostly smoothed it out.
Smooth
Installed easily on Taylor Mason conversion 45 Navy. I think the original spring was greatly excessive considering that there is no transfer bar or anything to diminish the blow of the firing pin onto the primer. This does lighten the hammer pull slightly, but what I notice most is that the action is much smoother. The revolver is now much more user friendly.
SAA Colt mainspring
I needed this piece for my original SAA Colt. First, I was amazed to find that this piece was available.. It was simple to install. As advertised, the hammer does not seem to have the striking force that perhaps that original spring had, but it is certainly adequate, and the trigger pull is much lighter and smoother.. I love it!
Works Better Than Expected
I installed this on a second generation SAA Colt. Drop in installation. I had already installed 2 leather shims under the stock hammer spring, and thought that was enough to get by. The difference Is quite dramatic, much smoother operation and much lighter trigger. I was worried about light hammer strikes, but have had zero issues with Winchester or Federal primers ( i seldom use CCI primers, so i havent tried them yet).
Also works in an Uberti 1858 Remington
I bought this spring for use with a Taylor's conversion cylinder. It fit my Uberti Remington perfectly. The action is much smoother, and the cylinder's firing pins are no longer getting battered.
Just Right
At first, I tried the Lee Gunslinger spring set in my 3rd generation Colt SAA which is chambered in 45 Colt. The springs made the action feel sweet but light primer hits were a problem with the Remington large pistol primers I use. I ordered the Wolff mainspring and kept the wire trigger spring from the Lee set. I think I have a great combination now as the hammer is still lighter to pull than with the factory spring and the gun feels very "slick". I love the feel of my Colt SAA with the Wolff mainspring. It installed easily without any fitting and ordering from Brownell's is always a pleasure.
