Mag Catch Requirement
It is required to swap out your plastic OEM mag catch with either Shield Arms' standard steel mag catch or their premium steel mag catch. Here's why. If you don't swap your mag catch you may have reliability issues. If you use another manufacturer's mag catch you may have reliability issues. Gen 2 and 3 magazines were designed to work with Shield Arms steel mag catches. If you have a first generation aluminum mag catch, it is required to upgrade to one of our steel mag catch offerings.

They work like a champ
Good product to expand round capacity on the 43X. I normally change all my mag releases to metal anyway, so was a good deal it was included with the mags. Just put ~150 rounds through them with zero malfunctions. Great value from Brownell’s and very fast shipping, which is always appreciated. Highly recommended!

Shield Arms Mags
Installed the steel mag release, and all four mags ran as they should. The mags release as they should without having to grab them or do the “wrist flick”

4th conversion I’ve done, easy install and these mags run flawlessly

Great Glock 48 upgrade
The mag catch installed easily and continues to work well with the original mags. I had 1 failure to feed on the first magazine thru the steel mag, and the shipping oil felt a little gummy. After the first mag, the steel mag has been flawless as well. This is a great upgrade to go from 10 to 15 rounds in the mag.

3 Mag Test
Mags seem to be well made. well formed edges clean appearance. You have to insert them with a good push to lock in place. not as easy as the Glock mags. Had no problems with feeding rounds. Have seen reports on You Tube about 1-2 Gen mags. Gen 3 seem to be working well so far. It's great to have 15 rounds and not 10.
