Boat Paddle magic
Threw this on the ole 223 M77 boat paddle and it was nothing short of magical! Folks at Rifle Basix did a solid job on this one.
Nice, very nice
Installed in a 77/22 ("all weather"). Needed minor wood removal inside stock due to the new safety set screw scraping. No big deal. The trigger pull went from awful to sweet. KInda hard to put into words. It's so good, Brownells' rating censors probably would not would allow me to fully describe it.- it's really that good! I'll be back for more.
excellent for $$
Studied the reviews of this and others, picked this trigger. It was the right choice! Not a gunsmith, but tinker. No filing, no inletting, no messing up my gun. I installed this on my 77/17 in 20 minutes without a hitch. Was easy to adjust, no noticeable creep, VERY light and crisp. Compares close to the factory set trigger on my CZ 527/ .204. Very happy so far! Now to go pop some dogs!
Great
Installed in my 77/44 and first trigger did not function properly, called Brownells and said would replace. Then phoned factory, they were more than Helpful, put replacement in Airmail that day and sent returne postage for defective one. New one works as described Thanks To All!
No gunsmith needed
This trigger upgrade was so easy to install. The instructions were very clear with photos to prevent confusion. There is no creep and pull is adjustible in the field with out removing the action. I have my trigger set at the lightest setting ( a little over 1 lb ) and it is so nice. Be sure to test the safety and adjust before reassembling the rifle.
Exellent triger for the money
Lots of adjustment and very little if any creep. I did have to do some stock inletting to clear the safety adjustment screw but it was minor. I plan to order another for my 77/22. This one was for my 77/17.
ru-r for ruger 77/357
this is an excellent product and easy for the home gunsmith to install. my ruger 77/357 now has a vastly improved trigger. the "rifle basix" customer service is excellent.
Good design
I tried the Timney sear in a M77/17, but it had too much creep. I then bought the Rifle Basix trigger and it was very easy to install and set for the factory safety. I like the fact that there are no modifications to any factory parts; you could return the gun to factory specs if you chose to. I would buy this again.
Simply the Best
Excellent trigger. Use it on the range (@ 14oz.) and for hunting (1.5lbs). Fully repeatable settings, one complete turn and weights are dead-on. Simple to install, easy to follow instructions. Very good buy, completely satisfied. One point to consider: you might want to put a drop of blue thread locker on the adjustment screw.
77/22
Big improvement over stock 77/22 trigger but still small amount of creep and for the money should have come with replacement sear. Threads on safety engagement screw were damaged so I guess I will contact Brownells or Rifle Basix for replacement.
