RUGER® 10/22® ULTRALIGHT TARGET BARREL

RUGER® 10/22® ULTRALIGHT TARGET BARREL Reviews & Ratings

Premium-quality aluminum alloy barrel gives the rigidity, stability, and performance of a steel bull barrel without the excess weight. Lets you build a tack-driving target rifle from an affordable, easy-to-obtain Ruger® 10/22® action. Fully machined to precise, match-grade tolerances from exceptionally hard 7075 aluminum billet that's actually stronger than many mild steel alloys, yet gives all the benefits of a thick barrel, including improved heat distribution to resist accuracy changes due to barrel heating. Custom match chamber in .22 LR or .17 HM2, and button-rifled Chromalloy steel liner with precise 1-16" rifling for excellent accuracy, even from 60-grain subsonic .22 LR ammo. Barrel shanks are oversized to .001" and may require minor fitting; .17 HM2 barrel requires a heavy bolt or bolt handle assembly, available separately. Tough, durable, good-looking Cerakote™ ceramic finish resists corrosion, scratches, and surface wear. Recessed target crown protects the rifling at the muzzle. 1/2-28 TPI muzzle threads accept a variety of AR-15/M16 flash hiders and muzzle brakes.SPECS: 7075 T6 aluminum barrel, Cerakote finish, matte black. Chromalloy steel liner. .920" (23.4mm) O.D. .22 LR - 16Ѕ" (41.9cm) long; .17 HM2 - 18" (45.7cm) long. Both models fit Ruger® 10/22® .22 LR receivers only. Includes knurled thread protector.

Amazing
Just purchased this for my 10/22 and I'm astounded. It shoots Eley match and cci standard velocity and everything in between very well! I took a borescope to the inside and it looks better than a custom rimfire barrel I ordered a year ago. Very impressed with this barrel and the quality control behind it. You won't regret buying one!

Marked Improvement!!!
Installation was a snap. Improved accuracy was immediately apparent. It is way more accurate than I am, for sure! Appearance is kind of dull, but a flawless dull, if you get my meaning. I prefer a shiny jeweled appearance, like the fluting and overall looks of some Kidd barrels. But not $125 more. I bought the threaded version, to suppress, and the threads were perfectly concentric. CCI standard velocity stay subsonic. Overall, with appearance, not really a flaw, the barrel preforms perfectly. And, while I don’t compete, I do appreciate an accurate barrel.

great 10/22 barrel
Am very impressed with this barrel, is lightweight, and well made. The end going into the receiver needed very minor sanding to fit, unlike another aftermarket barrel that took lots and lots of sanding.

Superlight 4.5 lbs. Very Accurate 10/22
The Beyer Barrel brings our 10/22 down to 4.5 lbs. Including 30mm Red Dot (6.7oz.). Lighter than other competitor's $$$$ custom 10/22's. Accurate and fast! We are using the light Magpul X-22 stock (18oz.) with my custom microcell foam cheek piece (easy DIY). And Timney trigger. I used 0000 steel wool to polish the paint on the barrel because the oversize fit is very tight in Ruger receiver. I used silver release compound to fit the barrel to the receiver. Dime size groups with bulk ammo and red dot. Will try target scope for groups and ammo accuracy testing someday, but having too much fun to stop and switch. Expect heavily waxed ammo to be less reliable in tight semi-match chamber. First few thousand rounds indicate this was a fantastic choice! Highly recommend Beyer!

Superb barrel
The Beyer barrel is superb. Very tight fit to my factory Ruger receiver. Shooting in a Steel Challenge variety match, Remington Thunderbolt functioned at 100%. Range testing at 50 feet ten shots are smaller than a dime. Could be much smaller with a target scope instead of our 20 moa (x-large) red dot. CCI Blazer also produced very small groups. Federal Auto-Match was a close second. Federal Lightening had a few failures to chamber. Aguilla Super X did not function well at all in the tight Bentz chamber. My teen daughter outshot several fancier guns with carbon fibre barrels. She is delighted with the lighter barrel. I didn't expect to make so many changes to the Ruger 10/22. It wasn't my fault . . . Really . . . Brownells made me do it!

Two 10/22 builds
I built two Ruger 10/22s. Used 16.5" barrels 1 fluted 1 bull. Both tack drivers. Plan on converting a stock 10/22. Will most def. buy another Beyer from Clint.

Perfect Youth Appleseed Barrel
This barrel with Tech Sights, BX trigger, Hogue Overmold Stock and a GI Sling Is an excellent well balanced rifle for a 13 year old girl that has Skills ! I had a 20" blued barrel on the rifle first thinking the extra sight radius would improve accuracy, and it did but was way too heavy. The barrel is accurate and not fussy about what you feed it. I am ordering another one tonight for my hunting 10/22 that I bought new in 1975.
