RUGER® 10/22® ULTRALIGHT TARGET BARREL

RUGER® 10/22® ULTRALIGHT TARGET BARREL Reviews & Ratings

Premium-quality aluminum alloy barrel gives the rigidity, stability, and performance of a steel bull barrel without the excess weight. Lets you build a tack-driving target rifle from an affordable, easy-to-obtain Ruger® 10/22® action. Fully machined to precise, match-grade tolerances from exceptionally hard 7075 aluminum billet that's actually stronger than many mild steel alloys, yet gives all the benefits of a thick barrel, including improved heat distribution to resist accuracy changes due to barrel heating. Custom match chamber in .22 LR or .17 HM2, and button-rifled Chromalloy steel liner with precise 1-16" rifling for excellent accuracy, even from 60-grain subsonic .22 LR ammo. Barrel shanks are oversized to .001" and may require minor fitting; .17 HM2 barrel requires a heavy bolt or bolt handle assembly, available separately. Tough, durable, good-looking Cerakote™ ceramic finish resists corrosion, scratches, and surface wear. Recessed target crown protects the rifling at the muzzle. 1/2-28 TPI muzzle threads accept a variety of AR-15/M16 flash hiders and muzzle brakes.SPECS: 7075 T6 aluminum barrel, Cerakote finish, matte black. Chromalloy steel liner. .920" (23.4mm) O.D. .22 LR - 16Ѕ" (41.9cm) long; .17 HM2 - 18" (45.7cm) long. Both models fit Ruger® 10/22® .22 LR receivers only. Includes knurled thread protector.

.17 Mach 2 Barrel
This barrel can almost not hit paper at 100 yards. Every component of my firearm was perfectly sound, all premium parts. Tried converting it to .17 mach 2, and this was an awful purchase. Couldn’t do better than an 8 inch group at 100 yards, off a leadsled. Tried it on an entirely different receiver and scope, no change. Contacted Clint Beyer and he sent me a new barrel… same story. I started doubting myself at this point, so I purchased a Volquartsen .17 mach 2 barrel and it will shoot the center out of a quarter at 100 yards. Well under MOA. So this issue is very obviously the barrel.

disapointed
bought the barrel from Brownells, got a good price and prompt delivery, five stars for brownells service. the barrel i had was a B.C. steel barrel about 20 inches long (not made anymore) and could shoot about a 3/8 diameter hole with 5 rounds at 30 yards with bulk ammo. I wanted a threaded barrel for my supressor so i ordered this Barrel thinking it was a good deal. You honestly do get what you paid for, accuracy at 25 yards from the rest using the same ammo was disapointing to say the least, out of five shot groups all were about 1/4" to 3/8" from each other none of them touching. about a 1 1/2" to 2" group at 25 yards consistently. not good accuracy at all and had very tight threads. swapped back to old B.C. barrel and consistently shot 3/8" 5 round groups at 30 yards again, making one small raged hole. I would not recomend this barrel at all, save your money.
