A comp on a rimfire rifle doesn't actually do anything but look cool. This comp couldn't do anything in any event, as the gas ports are all the way around. No upward venting to counteract muzzle rise or offset recoil. So we come to looks. The comp is a bad match for the Ruger Precision Rimfire. It's slightly larger in diameter than the barrel, and it's a different color. So instead of looking like an integral part of the barrel, it sticks out like a cheap addition. On the positive side, it does attach to a standard threaded muzzle, it does bottom out properly (unlike another reviewer's comment about some other rifle). No washer or other retention device included, nor instructions. It's overpriced and underperforming.
