RUGER® 10/22® BOLT BUFFER Reviews & Ratings

Bolt buffer prevents contact between the bolt and stop pin to eliminate battering. Acts like a shock absorber to provide smooth, quiet cycling without the metal-to-metal contact. Replaces bolt stop pin at rear of receiver. Precision made with high cut & tear resistance, superior load bearing properties, excellent abrasion and impact resistance, good low temperature flexibility and are oil & solvent resistant

This buffer caused jam/misfire
Installed this buffer(100-003-804) into my Ruger 10-22 and also an extractor, spring and plunger. After installing all parts I loaded a clip with 4, 22 rounds to check if extractor functioned correctly. It did not, it jammed, the cause was the buffer. Because it did not allow the bolt slide to travel on the return fast enough to engage the extractor to eject the round (the buffer adsorbed the action of the bolt slide). When that happened and the bolt slide tried to load another round it caused the loading round to strike the round that was loaded and caused the round to fire. I took the buffer out and replaced it with the original steel buffer and had no more issues. This kind of buffer is dangerous in my opinion. I would not advise any one to buy this type of buffer.

NOPE
Zero stars was not an option, so I gave it one. Diameter is too big. Wouldnt fit in either of my 10/22s. I tried freezing it and lubing it and cant even get it started on either side. Stupid ... DO NOT BUY!

Tuffer Buffer Poor Design
This 10/22 Bolt buffer is poorly made. Its not rigid enough and its too flimsy to get a good fit when its being driven through the bolt buffer guide holes. It was a pain to install. And It also induced many malfunctions. I couldn't understand how a such a easy to design plastic pin was so poorly made and cost $8. I tried to find a mailing address or a phone # for the company that made it but all I found was a PO located in Ontario. It doesn't say US or Canada. What a Piece Of Junk.

constant jamming
read some reviews that looked promising. it installed easy enuf but when i got to the range and was shooting the same ammo i usally use and havent had problems before, was getting 6 to 7 jammes per 25 round mag. firred over 350 rounds because i thought it had to be broken in, still had problems. replaced with old pin and rifle shot fine no jams. big upset
