Great Quality Punches
The quality and value of these punches are great! I used the punches to install the pins for both the bolt catch and trigger guard for my AR build. Highly recommended!

Solid set for builds
The Brownells Roll Punch Pins have great durability, precision, and ease of use. I really like how they improve my ability to grip and manipulate pins without slipping or causing damage to the surrounding material. The punches are particularly useful for working with smaller roll pins, which can be difficult to handle with traditional punches. This set appears to be a high-quality toolset for gunsmithing and other precision work. Their versatility and precision make them a valuable addition to any workshop, and their durability ensures they will provide reliable service for years.
Work just fine
Just got mine today and used them to build a lower. Some of them are pretty thin but I checked and they didn't bend. I only use as much force as necessary but I do that anyway because I don't want to damage my firearm. Most of the breaking/bending reviews I've seen are quite old so now I wonder if there was a bad batch some years ago. All I can say is they work fine now. What they could use is a much longer top half or an extension that slides over the top so you can get a clear, straight hit when blocked by the receiver.
Excellent
These are suited for the job. They are inexpensive enough that they won't break the bank when you break one. YES! any brand make, model, manufacturer or cost will break.
The right tools for the job.
Don't believe the reviews about these breaking. Roll pins do not take much force to tap in. Just use light, firm taps and the pin will go in and the punch will not break. Just take of your tools and they will take care of you. I bought the 5 piece set for my 1st AR-15 build. I had no problems assembling the lower receiver because I had these, the right tools for the job. Roll pins are the basic building blocks for ARs. I wouldn't try installing them without proper roll pin punches like these. Don't use regular pin punches for that job. These punches were also useful when lining up the trigger and hammer pin holes. The small nipple on the end of the punches really help center them on the roll pins and keep from damaging the pins too. Good price and worth it too.
seems well made
I only used one so far, worked perfectly.
easy to use - no marring
easy to use - does the job like a pro!
Roll Pin Punch
I bought a set of these about 3 years ago and they have been great. None were bent or broken/ wrong size when I recieved them.(Brownells has excellent customer service and would most likely replace them if that were the case.) And after 3 years of use all but the no. 2 are in good shape. The no. 2 now has about a 45 degree bend in the shaft from me trying to use it incorrectly as a pry bar. I will be buying another set and would recomend them. Good quality, good price and when you use the right punch in the right hole they last a long time.
Better than expected
After reading some of the reviews I almost did not purchase this punch set. After opening the package and using these punches they are perfect. As my Dad always said the right tool for the job is the best tool, and that is what these punches are.
Right Way To Work With Roll Pins
I have used this set to remove and install roll pins of different sizes in an AR platform rifle. Each time, the pin was removed and re-installed without any damage. As long as the proper diameter punch was used, the pins were easily removed. High quality materials and workmanship.
