We combined 19 of our most popular roll pin punches and added a handy bench block to come up with the perfect punch set for the busy shop or department armor. Easily start, remove, and install spring pins and roll pins in firearms without damage to the pin or firearm. Features (5) holder punches, (7) starter punches, and (7) standard punches that can easily handle any job out there. Made from solid steel, with parallel-ground shanks and knurled handles. Also includes a non-marring, nylon drift punch that won’t damage or scrape delicate surface finishes. Machined, Delrin® bench block holds and organizes all the punches for easy access. Holder punches cup and hold roll pins, keeping them aligned for easy starting without pinching or binding. Especially good on the tiny, hard-to-grab ones, or those in tight places. Features a 1/16" diameter punch that is notched to clear the M16/AR-15 rear sight, plus a 3.5mm diameter punch for holding the pin that retains the breech block on Sig handguns. Finish driving with a standard roll pin punch. Starter punches are used to start the removal of roll or spring pins without causing damage to the pins or the punch. Short shaft gives more control by putting your hand closer to the pin and prevents bending the longer, standard roll pin punches. Standard punches are used to finish drive the roll pin or spring pin after it’s started. Starter and standard roll pin punches feature a special tip that centers inside the hollow pin to help prevent slippage. Complete set includes bench block, also available separately.

Good product, use it every day.

I use this set almost every day for both repairs and new assemblies. I've broken a starter punch twice (my fault) but Brownells replaced overnight at no cost. The punch holder is awesome and every punch fits perfectly in the derlin block as long as you are smart enough to follow the placement directions. I've read the negative reviews and have not had any of the problems discribed. Either these people can't follow directions or are using the punches incorrectly or improperly. As far as the wrong punches being set, mistakes happen deal with it and I'm sure Brownells took care of the problem promptly and at no cost to the customer! Overall, I highly recommend this set for both professional and personal use. You won't go wrong with this set. Great value for high quality tools.

Great anti-roll tool

This is what I needed to keep my roll pin punches from rolling. Also is great for holding most of the tools you are using for a job instead of having to hunt all over the bench and tool box for them.

Bought these pin punches to use with all My weapons. Right tool for the job. (used to use screw drivers) Figured this set had just about any size I would need.

The Essential Roll Pin Set for Gunsmiths

I have owned the Brownells Roll Pin Punches for about 4 years. When this set became available I bought it right away. When used properly theese punches provide exelent longevity and avoid damage to your firearm. I use theese punches on a daily basis for assembly of AR-15's and AR-10's and wouldn't be without them.

Works

I needed to drill out the holes to accommodate all my punches, other than that it works.

Light Use Maybe

I have used several types of punches to work on firearms. These punches, simply put did not stand up to regular use on rifles. Initially, they were fine, however in the period of about a year they began chipping and bending. If you are a light user of these types of punches they may last for quite some time, however I would not recommend them for professional use. They appear to have a nice finish and weight, I found the punch holder useful. To sum it up; you get what you pay for, especially in hardened type tools.

Thrown Together

Bought set to have more versatility over my existing Starrett punch set. There are 20 items to set. None of the punches have the small center stub that should be there for roll pins. These are just plain punches, not roll pin punches. Besides that, I got 2 #13 punches and no #16 punch. Only 4 out of the 20 punches actually fit into the holes in the plastic block holder. Had to redrill everything just to get them to fit properly.

Never again!!

These punches are the worst ever, I don't know what steel they used but They either bend or completely break. Don't waste your money!!!
