RIFLE LONG BULLSEYE REAR SIGHT

RIFLE LONG BULLSEYE REAR SIGHT Reviews & Ratings

Barrel-mounted, dovetail Bullseye sight gets you on target fast with perfect alignment for improved accuracy. Steel, double-ring peep design ensures consistent sight alignment and helps improve shooting form. The moment the rear sight is misaligned, the front sight drifts out of the center ring, telling the shooter to re-align. Replaces standard 3⁄8" dovetail rear sights on many rifles. For use with bead-type or traditional blade front sights.

SPECS: Steel, blue, polished finish. Fits nominal 3?8" (9.5mm) dovetail. Outside Ring O.D. - 9?16" (1.4cm). Inside Ring I.D. - .15” (3.8mm). Elevator is included

Long Aperture Rifle sight
Sight was as advertised. It fit my Savage 24c perfectly. It’s much better than the original sight. The blued finish is good. All the surfaces are done well. I would recommend this sight.

Easy Installation
My original sight on my Marlin 336 got broken. I replaced it with this sight. It only took a couple minutes to install. It was a very easy installation. You only need a brass punch and a very light, 8 oz or smaller hammer. I highly recommend this sight from Brownells.

Not a gimmick !
I was looking for a more traditional peep for my Miroku Winchester 1892 but they all required modifications to the rifle. Then one of my subscribers suggested this sight. I was skeptical at first but the price was right. Turns out it's very well made and a huge improvement over the semi-buckhorn that came on the rifle. And it looks pretty slick as well. It would be a great option for any top eject lever gun.

I bought one for my henry 45/70 and it fit perfectly . I will buy another one soon for my henry 357. note: henry sights are long not short.

so much better than stock sights
this rear sight makes it easier to see your front sight, especially in lower light conditions. the ring style also helps me to shoot better groups. it did take a slight amount of polishing to get it to go into the dovetail slot on my mod 94, basically amounted to sanding the bluing off the bottom of the sight, applying a couple drops of oil and tapping it into place. be sure to not sand off too much. this sight feels more solid than the factory sight. i would highly recommend this sight, especially for those of us who's eyes aren't quite what they were in our 20's.

Great replacement for Henry Golden Boy
Like many "middle aged" shooters, I found that the semi-buckhorn rear sight that comes on the Henry Golden Boy is next to impossible to use wearing bifocals, too small of a notch. After looking at peep sight options, I decided to give the Marple's Bullseye sight a try. I also looked at a Skinner Peep Sight and choose the Marple's because it had more of a traditional look... plus, if it didn't work out, I'd be out less money. Installation required a minor bit of filing on the bottom of the dovetail to fit it to the Henry dovetail slot. I'm pleased with the results, easy to get on target and have decent sight picture. With the larger aperture size, it's not for precision target shooting, but it is totally adequate for hunting and plinking.

Winchester 67a
I bought this sight for a Winchester Model 67a (.22LR/shorts, etc.) My rifle is factory stock, with a barrel length of about 27". To make the sight fit, I simply sanded the bottom of the sight a bit with 220 grit sand paper, applied some oil, and tapped it in from right to left (as if the stock was against your shoulder.) It went on simple enough. Getting the right front sight took several attempts. I have a few spare front sights, with the tallest being .350. These were all too short, and my rifle was shooting several inches high at 25 yards. I attempted to use a sight that was .530, and that did not work out well. I was able to get sighted in, but I had to max-out the elevation on the rear sight. The front sight I settled on was a Marbles with an overall height of .045. Sighting in with the .045 front sight at 25 yards, the rear sight elevator is one click up from the lowest setting. There is more enough elevation adjustment remaining (for my needs). Perhaps I could have selected a front sight slightly shorter, but not much! I have the factory Winchester sights oiled up, and properly marked and stored, such that they can be passed on with the rifle (when I do). Best of luck to all.

Bullseye sights are great
I keep a supply of these on hand, long and short, with a supply of XS post front sights. They make a world of difference, basically a more precise ghost ring type of set up without a lot of expense or work. Win. 94 30-30, Marlin 336 30-30, Marlin Camp carbine .45, and Marlin model 60 all have this rear sight. Model 60 still has its front sight, but the others wear the XS post. Great for low light, snap shooting, and moving targets.

Quality
I used this product on a Rossi pump 22. If you need a sight for a project and the existing dove tail is bigger than 3/8 inch, I found if you braze this dovetail slightly and take your time shaping it , it works great. These are quality products. Look great and perform perfectly. You won't be disappointed.

Ideal
Great on my Win94 Trapper. Wanted a ghost ring sight, but there are limited options for the 94 without gunsmithing. Inexpensive and very effective. Great for shooting moving targets. Maintains the asthetics and compact hanlding of the gun without having to add a red dot sight. Have given several of these to friens, who are also very pleased.
