Hard to beat for the price
Purchased one as part of a refresh for an old LEO 870 Wingmaster. I had checked various reviews on this product before purchasing. There is a guy on fakeTube who says in a video that the Tamer grip flexes on you... not sure what he was feeling. This one is not dissimilar to any of the other grips in Hogue's lineup but not sure what he's talking about in terms of flex. It doesn't move if installed properly. Also, the forend, if not correctly aligned the rubber will contact the barrel and cause it to stick making work of the pump action. So it can be installed slightly out of alignment fairly easily but its also not hard to adjust. Can't say enough about how nice it is to have Hogue rubber on the grip surfaces. A pistol grip shotgun requires grip on both ends and this set does both for a very good price. As for recoil reduction, I'm not especially sensitive to it, and if you've got a good hold it shouldn't be much different from any other 12 gauge. I think it's likely to help with the shock to some degree but no more than holding it properly. If you're going with a pistol-grip shotgun setup, this one gets five stars for me. This will likely be my recommendation going forward for shotgun setups especially for tactical/home defense. I think I would still favor Speedfeed for other applications but we'll have to give this one a go as well.

Awesome
Needed a new fore end for the gun as I noticed the factory one was all chewed up when I took it down to do a Cerakote job. This package was less than the cost of just a fore end alone so it was an amazing value. I now have Hogue grips on all of my guns (AR15, S&W 500, 1911, Browning Hi-Power and others) and this package lives up to my already high expectations. The fit in my hand of the pistol grip is outstanding, and I'm in love with the rubberized fore end. Hogue = Awesome. Period.

Great Purchase!
The pistol grip fits great on the gun and feels great in your hand. The forend feels just as good and is easy to install. You can use the 870 wrench to remove the forend or needle-nose pliers. Worth every penny.

Far exceeded my expectations.
I use this Hogue kit to convert my faithful Rem. 870 between trips to the woods into a home defense companion. Looked at some of the hard plastic competitors but decided on this kit and I couldn't be happier. Great 'grip-ability' with a rubbery, pebble-like, finish. Looks great and came with the correct hardware that makes it easy to change from traditional butt-stock to pistol grip. I leave the forend on all the time and it handles so well. Would I recommend it? Well, I'm getting 2 more sets for my nephews (one Rem 870 the other a Mossberg 500), if that answers your question. Don't hesitate to choose this kit if you are looking for an awesome home defense set-up.

Another Great Hogue Product
Easy installation, just be careful not to over tighten the nut that holds the forestock on, 15 minute installation! Really helps stop the recoil, when using the pistol grip, a whole lot better than plastic pistol grips that don't have the rubber coating! I will recommend to all of my friends! I'm going to order set for my remington 870!!

WOW!!
I have not shot with this grip yet, but plan to write another review when I do. That being said installation took a mere 5-10 minutes max. Also I do have the heat shield installed, the trick to getting the foregrip on is to slide it forward about 1/2 inch when reinstalling the barrel but it absolutely fits!! Feels great and looks great!!

Much better than a factory one
Much better than the hard plastic factory P grips (or anyone else's P grip). The Hogue overmolded texture makes for a nice firm no slip grip and the soft spot at the back makes it much easier to shoot.

Great grip
Fits hands perfectly. Very easy to install, 15min.

Great pistol grip
Easy installation! Feels good in the hands, non slip. Reduces felt recoil more than any hard plastic pistol grip.
