WONDERFUL AND EASY

THIS TOOL WORKS WELL. MAKES THE JOB REALLY EASY. A LITTLE PRICEY BUT ALL IN ALL WORTH A PURCHASE IF YOU NEED TO DISASSEMBLE A REMINGTON 700 FIRING PIN ASSEMBLY. JUST SCREW THE ASSEMBLY IN ONE END..TIGHTEN THE SCREW DOWN ON THE FIRING PIN TO RELIEVE SPRING PRESSURE AND EXPOSE THE PIN THAT HOLDS ASSEMBLY TOGETHER....DRIVE THE PIN OUT....THEN BACK OUT THE FIXTURE SCREW AND THEN BACK THE FIRING PIN ASSEMBLY OUT. THE ASSEMBLY WILL PULL APART EASILY. REASSEMBLY IS JUST THE OPPOSITE.

High Quality Item

I haven't used this tool yet but can tell you that it is high quality. I expect it will do the job on disassembly of the Remington 700 firing pin and spring.

Kleinendorst tool

I finally purchased one of the Kleinendorst firing pin tools to accommodate my Kleinendorst Rem. 700 bolt dis-assembly tool & Sinclair ejector tool. Together they make maintenance & cleaning of my Rem 700's bolts & firing pin components a much easier task. All three tools work remarkably well and are easy to use. Right tool for the job making it safer, easier and quicker to do routine maintenance / cleaning and replacement of springs, etc. Highly recommend this tool for anyone who owns a Rem. 700.

REALLY NICE TOOL !!!!!!!!

HAVE BEEN USING THIS BENCH-TOOL SINCE THE LATE 1980'S & IT CONTINUES TO DO THE JOB IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO !!!!!! IT ALSO WORKS ON RUGER M77 BOLTS, TO COMPRESS THE F/P SPRING FOR REMOVAL / INSTALL. BUT BE AWARE THAT THE THREADS ON THE RUGER SHROUD WILL ONLY PERMIT JUST A FEW THREADS TO ENTER THE THREADED END OF THE TOOL & STOP TURNING WHEN THE SHROUD STOPS---BE GENTLE !!!!!!!! TOOL IS DESIGNED TO BE CLAMPED IN PADDED JAWS OF A BENCH-VISE / MACHINIST VICE & IS VERY STABLE ONCE CLAMPED INTO PLACE. GIVE IT 2 THUMBS WAY UP-------OOORAH !!!!!!!!!!

Kleinendorst firing pin tool

Found after a search on the website and ordered. It arrived and I put it to the test on a Model 700 Remington rifle bolt. Worked very well but the length of the tool should be longer so one doesn't have to fight getting the firing pin spring compressed enough to start the thread engagement... Other than that I thought it worked just fine and is safe in operation.
