Nice product with some polishing
This is a nice product but that being said the machine work is mediocre at best. A little polishing and its an even better product. Once cleaned up this is awesome.
Not bad, if a little pricey
Seems well made, but could use a light deburring operation to better ensure smooth function. No modification to your current gun required to use it, plus I wager it fits just about any pump action shotgun.
Nearly perfect
My original Remington follower went bad right at the beginning of waterfowl season in my 870. I purchased this and got it on the way as fast as I could, and it arrived earlier than expected, so swapping it was an easy job. I left four stars because the machining had some sharp corners. I knocked them down with a light sanding with 320 grit and it dropped right in. Two days later I was back on the water and it worked flawlessly. Couldnt be happier.
Great part
This dropped right in to an 11-87 and works with no problems.
Required fitting with extended magazine
I bought this item to replace the plastic follower in my Remington 1100. I had previously installed a Remington factory 3 shot extended magazine. When the follower was first installed it jammed at the transition joint between the magazines. The factory plastic follower did not do this. I beveled the back edge of the stainless steel follower and polished it with fine emery cloth. After that I had no problems with the follower. It is well made and finished. If not for the fitting required I would have given it a 5 star rating. In all fairness if I didn't have the 3 shot extension installed it probably would have worked without issues.
Feeds Well So Far.....
Just got this today with a number of other upgrades. This was the first to install. Grooved slides allowed quick and easy install over my 870 Tactical 6-shell magazine. Didn't need a dremel to smooth out the dimples. Paired it up with a Nordic components spring cut to 25 inch length. Good resistance so far when loading 4 dummy rounds into the magazine and has smooth feeding. Can't give five stars yet since I haven't tested with a full magazine yet.....but so far so good
