REMINGTON 700 SPECIAL TRIGGERS

REMINGTON 700 SPECIAL TRIGGERS Reviews & Ratings

The Rem 700 Special is an upgraded version of the Primary model which further enhances accuracy and precision on any right-handed Remington 700 model rifle. Utilizing CLKR Technologyâ„¢, and some additional hand refinements, the pull weight on the Special model is quickly and confidently adjusted from 1.0 - 3.5 lbs in ~1oz increments from an externally accessible set screw. Due to the exceptionally crisp break, most shooters report the pull weights feeling ~0.5lbs lighter than a friction based trigger of the same measured weight. Just like the Primary model, this drop-in trigger provides a true zero-creep break, extremely short overtravel and offers outstanding reliability, even in the harshest environments. Frictionless Release Technologyâ„¢, along with hardened 440C stainless steel internal components ensure corrosion resistance and an extended service life. As Frictionless Release Technologyâ„¢ does not rely on coating, polishing or lubricating the key engagement surfaces, trigger pulls will be more consistent from shot to shot and after thousands of shots than you ever thought possible. All pull weights and measurements are approximate. ***Pull weights of TriggerTech Triggers are directly impacted by firing pin spring weight. Overweight firing pin springs may cause pulls weights to vary above the advertised range***

Trigger Tech ALWAYS A WINNER!!!!
I wish I'd never purchased my first Trigger Tech trigger because now all of my Remington's MUST HAVE ONE! They are absolutely GREAT. They really do break like glass as they say. No creep, no mush, consistent weight on each pull. Yea you can play with a stock trigger till your blue in the face and swap out the springs for lighter ones and get a decent 2 pound trigger, but now I ask WHY because in the end you still have just an OK stock trigger. Do yourself a favor, save the time, save the effort, save the possible accidental discharge and just buy one (per gun that is) The primary even at 2 pounds is way better than a modified 2 pound OEM trigger. The special is what I like and use for almost all my rifles both hunting and tactical. (I prefer about 20oz trigger pull on tactical and 30-32 on my hunting rifles) The diamond is worth it if you use a rifle on the bench and in the field. On the bench it's easy to get 4-6oz break and then a few clicks and you can be right at 2 pounds for field work. Don't need to remove the trigger from the rifle to change the weight. The AR10 & 15 triggers are exceptional too.

Great Upgrade
I installed this in a Bergara B14R. I had previously added a set screw to the factory trigger to allow a little more adjustment and more of a crisp trigger pull. It got me by for some time, but I finally made the step up to the TriggerTech Special and it's been a huge improvement. I still have it set around 1.5# and it's been great.

Initial issue quickly resolved
At first, I had an issue with the bolt stop binding. I emailed their tech support and got a quick reply. After looking at the info they provided and re-reading the instructions, I was able to adjust the part of the trigger assembly that contacts the bolt stop on the receiver. Works perfectly now. Adjustment for pull weight is very easy, using an allen wrench. The actual trigger is perfect in my opinion. The bevel, curve, and grooves are all just right. This was a replacement for a Remington 40x trigger on a 700P. I like this trigger much more.
