REMINGTON 700 FACTORY CONTOUR PRE-THREADED BARREL Reviews & Ratings

Made for Brownells by Shilen to match the factory contour. Upgrade the performance and accuracy of Remington 700 rifles without costly stock work. Match-grade, short-chambered barrels have the correct contour to drop into Remington factory or aftermarket stocks with little-to-no barrel channel modifications. Install with your factory recoil lug. Muzzle is cut at 90° to the bore and ready for crowning. After installation, use a hand-turned, finish reamer to deepen chamber until correct headspace is reached. (Correct headspace gauges and reamer required.)

SPECS: 4140 Chrome Moly steel, in-the-white or 416 Stainless Steel, stress relieved.

I normally buy plain blanks. I thought I would try this pre-threaded short chambered barrel. It would be easier with plain blank. If someone thought they could bypass gunsmithing with this they would be very disappointed.
