My new muzzle brake
This is now on a Ruger Hawkeye Hunter in 30-06 and I'm very happy with its performance. It is very pleasant to shoot with very manageable recoil and little to no muzzle rise.
Fantastic Muzzle Break
I put this muzzle break on my Rem 700 5R 308, and what I got was a great shooting experience. This muzzle break allows me a quick follow up shot and it's trully quieter than the other muzzle breaks I own, even for shooters around me. I highly recommend it.
Tames Recoil
The combination of three goodies on your rifle: a Gentry Quiet Muzzle Brake, with a 501-125 or 502-125 Kick-Eez Sorbothane Pad, and with a C&H Research Recoil Suppressor will make a .375H&H kick like a .270, or a .300Mag kick like a .243. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Excellent
Excellent fit and finish.
Good Value Muzzle Brake
I put this on a 30-06 for a client and it was an easy install. User reported recoil more like .243 and where he once used a "sissy" pad, no more, Is there such a thing as a "quiet" muzzle brake? Couldn't tell. Said muzzle blast seemed about the same, I said I thought it was a bit louder. No DB Meter to tell. He was extremely pleased.
excellent brake
I have several of these brakes and love the recoil reduction along with reduced muzzle jump. There are really no such thing as quiet muzzle brakes however these are the quietest perceived brakes out there do to the 11 degree downrange port design. If you are on the fence about getting a brake for that hard kicking lightweigt hunting rifle, just get one, you won't regret it.
A Great Product but the wrong threads
These are grest if someone has to fire next to you. They do not blow dust up or blast smoke because they instantly direct blast equally through the holes. Not as loud as large baffle chambers and no smoke stacking like brakes with only one set of holes on top. Cons, every 308 AR style heavy barrels in .750 diameter uses 5/8 x 24 tpi threads. Ar 223 heavy barrels in .750dia. use 1/2x 28tpi thread. Not very smart!
No noise increase?!? HA!
These sure do reduce recoil ... a lot. But, to say that they do not increase the noise is just assinine. They increase the amount of noise by a huge amount. If you shoot a 300WM once with and once without you will believe. Shoot it without this first, because after you shoot it with this device on you will not be able to hear the 2nd shot. If there is anyone else near me at a range I have to take it off, unless I want them to shoot me. It's so loud with this on it is unbelievable. Also, if you don't have someone install a set screw too it will turn right off with a few shots. And, it DOES affect the accuracy, greatly. You have to have it in exactly the right spot for your load.
