Zero regrets.
Beautiful Python I’m going to shoot ten ways to Sunday. If Colt had this priced where it’s at currently before the pandemic, I would’ve thought it was a good deal and would have considered it a good deal. I would love for them to come out with a 7 round 327Fed Mag… Thanks Bronwells

Beautifully made. Comparable to my older models
Beautifully made. Comparable to my older models. Slightly slicker action than the older models, and with a somewhat more beefed up frame, although barely noticeable unless you know the differences. The grips are much nicer than the originals.

Python Review
Great purchase, as always Brownells was great to deal with.

Perfect finish
I tried for an hour to find a defect... i think it flawless. Only gripe is the single action trigger is not as good as the original python or smith/ruger. Read somthing about a Californian drop test being to blame

Open Carry At The BBQ
This is the revolver you'll want to wear on your hip at the BBQ, to show your taste in fine firearms. It is truly beautiful. The cylinder gap is a little wide for my taste, at .007", but it did not seem to have a negative effect on the revolver's performance. The trigger, in both double action and single action, is heavy, and unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about it, because if you lighten the mainspring, the revolver will misfire. I've had experience with Colt double action revolvers in the past. The double action pull however, is pretty smooth, and I shot better groups in double action than in single action. The single action trigger was so heavy, the revolver would shake at the break. The polished stainless steel finish is easy to clean. Residue wipes right off with a little solvent. If you are used to cleaning the cast frames of the Ruger revolvers, you will appreciate these smooth surfaces. The Python is easily disassembled and re-assembled. I would say as easy as the Ruger GP-100. Speaking of which, it is clear that whoever designed the Python borrowed some of Bill Ruger's design features. Accuracy, with my revolver, is about on par with the Ruger GP-100. Maybe. My GP-100 shoots pretty well. Recoil is a bit milder with the Colt than with the Ruger. This surprised me. It was quite noticeable. I'm guessing this is due to the shape of the grips. I like both guns. I wouldn't trade either one for the other. I enjoy owning them both. But in the dark place, I would choose the Ruger.

Gun purchase
Purchase was great. Quick shipping No issues

QR Code
Everything is what I expected from a Python except for a QR Code being etched on the lower right side of the frame that takes you the Colt web page. Why would they go and intentionally disfigure such a beauty? The only disappointment!

Python purchase
Brownell’s notified me they have 6” Colt Pythons in stock. I ordered one and it arrived at my FFL dealer exactly on time and as described. I suggested not ordering from a cellphone because you can’t see enough of the screen (or perhaps that just me). The process was easy and Brownell’s service remains outstanding. Thanks!
