Easy to use - great interface
I picked this up specifically for shotgun. I have a LabRadar for pistol/rifle but needed this to gauge velocity on shotty loads. The Bluetooth interface is very fast/easy to use and allows you to add notes to each string and attach a pic. You can then send the report to your email/printer and have the data saved immediately. Would definitely recommend.
Easy convenient
Used about 4 hrs total so far. Bluetooth is great no issues at all. In 100 shots it missed 1 and that may have been on me not the crono. Ive had two other of same design and this has been the best. 6 different calibers with several different loadings from 700fps to 3100fps all logged on an app makes life easier.
Works great, saves time
I have been using this chronograph to develop IDPA pistol loads so far. Its still new, but so far the chronograph does everything you would want. The Bluetooth feature and the app work great for saving time writing things down and organizing data. Very consistent with different light and it is fairly simple to operate. The app. auto populated my shooting data with temp and barometric pressures the first time I used it, but it wont do it now. Its probably user error, and since I wouldnt typically document these, its not a big deal. Overall a great unit.
Great American product
Almost went Dopler due to my shooting spot but just couldnt justify the ridiculous price point! This well made American product solved my issue with its great Bluetooth App. Where I shoot I have to place the unit 15yrds from my bench and the Bluetooth function was flawless. Not to mention the app really makes it easy to keep track of your data for a day of shooting. This is my new go to unit, will still keep my old one for the 400yrd target as a sacrifice unit while checking true BC of my projectiles.
Do yourself a favor: get one
I purchased this chronograph and the first one would not connect to my phone. I was intrigued by the Bluetooth feature, however, so I purchased a second ProChrono and it worked flawlessly. This thing is light, compact, and easy to set up. It allows you to create shot lists, voices the velocities over the phone as you shoot, and you can save your lists with variables recorded and maintained on the phone. For example, I created three lists for my .22 pistol with three different brands of ammunition. A real eye opener when you see how the ammo varies. This thing was worth every penny.
It works
A little finicky picking up .177 pellets but it has appeared to pick up everything else reliably. Connection to my iPhone XR was super easy. App seems to work well so far, has all the features I would want. The whole Bluetooth aspect has been way more reliable and easy than I anticipated.
So, so good!
This is the first chronograph I've had which connects to my phone! Imagine you're shooting, and right after you shoot, IT TELLS YOU THE VELOCITY!!! When I cleared my pistol, I saw each shot recorded, the average velocity, mean spread and max spread displayed!!! I just hope it lasts longer than my last one...it died after only 25 years... :)
