2026 pro 4000
I just loaded my first 200 rnds of 9mm with the Lee Pro 4000. First off I recieved the current year model from Brownells. I was sceptical but I called proir to ordering to confirm that is was the newer model with Lee's new added feature. If you know how to follow instructions and have the patiance to dial this progressive loader in you will love it. It has alot of plastic parts but that's where they save money and if you dont horse it around this thing will give years of service I'm sure. I also purchased the inline bullet feed kit which is a dream. One tip I have is to load the corresponding amount of bullets in the inline fedder as your brass in the tubes. It makes it easier to watch the brass tube d change both cylinders at the same time verusus trying to watch all the station plus bullets and brass. I'm tickeled pink with this unit. The breech lock sytem is the best on the market for quick consistent die swaps, and maintence. The 2026 version of the pro 4000 is the best vaule on the market hands down. The new powder pro is super simple to use and updated for ease of use. By the end of this weekend this press will have already paid for itself.

the lee 4000 9mm is easy and fast to setup right out of the box .it works well. the only bad thing was it took5 months to get it the wait was a killer lol.. but that was not Brownells fault. overall im very happy..
A Great Value But Not For A Beginner
Value wise, this is a 5 Star product. There is a learning curve and the need to find your rhythm and comfortable pace. I have both a .45 and 9mm press. I Do Not Recommend This Or Any Other Progressive To A Beginner! For me both work great, minus the Auto Bullet Feed. Too many hollow base and other types bullets to create issues. Make sure your primer feeder attachment is grey and you're set. I much prefer this unit over the Pro 1000's I've had in the past. For the price range these are a steal.
Good progressive press
I have one of these set up for .40 S&W currently. The priming system does not work for me so I prime by hand in front of tv. I deprime and clean all my brass before loading so virtually no dirt goes into the machine, and I use the Lee Case Feed magazine. Size in station one w/de-prime rod removed from sizing die, then powder, bullet seat and Lee FCD. Doing this, I've had great success with this press making quality ammo. Would be 5 stars if priming system worked. I find this press to be easy to set up and maintain. Keep it clean and lubed.
Important parts very plastic
The concept is solid on paper. And Lee's customer service is ON POINT. But there are some very important small parts in the timing mechanism that this press depends on to work, that do not get the job done. I can't recommend.

i have been reloading for over 20 years with RCBS single stage press super good company. So i wanted to do 9mm pistol rounds quick and easy lol the lee pro 4000 press is not the one . #1 lee powder drum is bad it drops powder everywhere about 3 gr per 20 rounds.#2case feeder jams even after resetting it many times. #3 primer system is a $.50 pile of junk . I spend more time cleaning powder and unjamming then i do loading. and i waited 7 months on a preorder for this. i wont even tell anybody i have it. and i bought the extra add on's bullet feeder ,junk drops more then it puts on or tips them on the side . and the FCD thats ok. you have to have 10 eyes to watch for whats going to go wrong next. what a giant let down from Lee .
