Classic, American Walnut stocks are sanded and given a three-coat, Danish oil finish to provide excellent weather resistance and durability. Quality, straight-grained wood looks sharp and is easy to touch up if the stock is nicked or dinged. Includes plastic buttplate. 95% inletted and ready to install; only requires minor fitting.


SPECS: Walnut, straight grain, no figure. Accepts original hardware. Matches factory length of pull; Youth models are shorter. Browning A-5 forend fits 12 gauge, 5-shot. Remington 11 forend is 12 gauge only; drilled to accept factory detent. Savage 94 forend comes relieved for .410 bore; can be opened up for 12 and 20 gauge.

pro, it was easy to fit to back of receiver, pretty nice grain to wood con, had to drill hole deeper for factory bolt, had to do a lot of shaping to get pistol grip to match the profile of original stock and wish the but plate would have been a repro Winchester marked. Also screws holes on supplied but plate don't match original Winchester butt plate. Would only recommend if good with woodworking and prepared to do a good bit of work.

Beautiful Wooden 870 Butt Stock
The Stock is a beautiful piece of wood! But, there are a couple of things different from the 870 original... First thing I noticed was that there is no checkering on the grip portion and the wood finish is a satin finish! Secondly, the butt plate is a hard flat plate, not a shock absorbing rubber pad!
