Push-button switch in the tailcap provides one-handed momentary or constant-on operation. Rotate the cap to “lockout” off position to prevent accidental activation and battery run down. Not really a 1" flashlight

I bought this for use as a weapon light for a shotgun. The light itself works great and is very bright, a lot of light for the price, simple controls, little to go wrong. But it is not really a 1" light. Only the tailcap measures 1". The main body of the light is smaller, about 15/16" and does not fit properly with most 1" mounts. Clamping to the tailcap seems a bit precarious, will see how it holds up under recoil as soon as I have a chance to get to the range. It's a 5 star flashlight but a 1 star description, so I only give it 4 stars.
