POLISH

POLISH Reviews & Ratings

Absolutely non-abrasive polish for all metals, fiberglass and most hard plastics. Removes corrosion, tarnish and discolorations. Brings finishes up to superb brightness, but its greatest asset in the gunshop is the ability to remove surface rust from blued finishes without damaging the bluing underneath. Leaves a protective film that resists further rust, corrosion, etc., for up to six months. Contains no acids.

SPECS: 50 g (13?4 oz) tube; 150 g (5.3 oz) tube.

Flitz polish works great
I primarily use the Flitz paste polish to remove the carbon burn on the cylinder face of my stainless steel single action revolvers. A dab of polish on a q-tip, or patch, along with a few minutes of rubbing and the carbon is gone. Using Flitz makes cleaning / polishing the whole cylinder much easier / faster. Flitz won't scratch your polished surface and can even be used to clean the bore. There is a Flitz liquid polish that I use for that function and their tumble media liquid polish works great at turning dull brass into "like new" cases. Non toxic, doesn't smell, won't scratch your firearm and works beautifully at removing stubborn carbon burns. Highly recommend.

Excellent Product
I have used this product a few items since I have received it. I first used it on an older pellet gun that had surface rust on the barrel. Applied a little and a gentle rub and the rust is gone. I am also a cartridge collector and a few I have were corroded. Applied the same technique to the cartridges with the same results. A couple needed to be treated a couple of times and the results were outstanding. More things I want to try on.

Best product for firearms polishing
Restores hot blued firearms, protects and removes surface rust.Works and produces original shine better then oil for quality protection.Bore shines are better with this product.

A Superb Polish
I had a third generation nickle Colt SAA that had been improperly stored and had a strange shadowing in the finish. I thought that it was ruined. I used a very soft cotton cloth and Flitz and within one hour, the finish was like new again, without any scratching from the polish, and with very little effort. Also works great on smooth plastics that have dulled with time.

Great product
I start with Simichrome which is slightly more aggressive and then finish up with Flitz. If I'm working on something like a hand-made knife with a second-to-none mirror finish where I want zero scratch marks visible with the naked eye then I use Autosol. Brownell's doesn't carry Autosol.
