POCKET TOUCH DIGITAL SCALE SET

POCKET TOUCH DIGITAL SCALE SET Reviews & Ratings

Using the Lyman Pocket Touch Digital Scale Set gives reloaders one of the smallest and most-precise measurement tools possible to incorporate into their loading kit. The Lyman Pocket Touch Digital Scale Set's small size is offset by it's impressive capabilities. The kit ships with a funnel pan, calibration weight and a powder scoop to provide easy measuring.

  • Measures 2.25" x 4.25" x 0.75'
  • Runs off two AAA batteries
  • Auto shutoff feature included
  • Measures up to 1500 grains

The Lyman Pocket Touch Digital Scale Set's included funnel pan is a great added feature that allows reloaders to place powder into waiting cases directly from the measurement pan, saving time and extra effort.

What Reviewers Are Saying
Product Accuracy
67%
Many reviewers commend the scale for its accuracy, consistently measuring weights correctly when compared to other scales. Users express confidence in its ability to provide precise readings, which is especially valued for tasks like bullet weighing.
Compact Design
67%
The scale's compact size is frequently highlighted as a major benefit, making it easy to store and transport. Reviewers appreciate that its small footprint allows it to fit conveniently on a workspace without taking up much room.
Calibration and Consistency
50%
Several users note the need for careful calibration and mention that the scale can experience wandering measurements after taring. While some buyers mastered its use, it is seen as a potential drawback for those seeking consistent results right out of the box.
Material Concerns
33%
A few reviewers express disappointment that the powder pan is made of plastic instead of aluminum, as static can cause powder to stick, complicating use. This feedback suggests a preference for more effective materials for handling powder.

Good Product fro price
Only thing that i would say is that I agree with other that the powder pan should be aluminum instead of plastic. The powder sticks to the plastic due to static.

Accurate. Reliable. Fast. Convenient.
I checked the accuracy of this scale with my RCBS Balance Scales, and got the same readings. I also checked the accuracy of this scale with rifle and pistol bullets from Speer, Hornady, and Sierra. The scale is accurate. It balances fast too. If you need to weigh a lot of bullets for consistency, this scale will do it quickly. Its compact size, smaller than a cell phone, makes it easy to carry anywhere. The funnel pan which accompanies this scale works very well. My RCBS powder funnel will not drop powder into .243 Winchester cases without spilling, unless the funnel is held very carefully in alignment with the case mouth. The Lyman Funnel Pan lines up with the .243 case perfectly, and doesn't spill powder. I am impressed.

Good Affordable scale
I bought this scale to replace my trusty RCBS 1010. Unfortunately it was lost in a move. I did not intend to use it for reloading but since the 1010 was nowhere to be found.... I am surprised how good this is for the price. I have numerous calibration weights and each time I check it is spot on. You do need to let it warm up first. That's a fine line since it does auto power off. Let it warm up until it turns off, then again. At that point I calibrate with the supplied weight. I then verify the calibration with several different weights and combinations. Spot on. I also have tried several verifications while loading. It hasn't failed me yet. Best $25 I've spent for a spare until I can find my good scale or purchase another.

Good value but has critical flaw
Like many digital scales this one will wander. It calibrates and measures all the heavy check weights fine. But once you tare/zero something to measure powder in, whether it be a pan or a case, the zero measurement will start to wander and your measurements will not be consistent. For insistence I use the same 9mm case to measure my powder in and I know it.s 64.7 grains. But once I tare that weight away it starts to wander from -64.9 to -64.5. With enough practice I have gotten a good idea of how to use this but it's quite annoying. I am tempted to send it back to Brownells to get something hopefully more reliable.
