fits .284 Win
The .284 Win with 180 gr or heavier bullets will not work well with a SA. The cases are also bigger around than .06, so they will not fit as many rounds. By taking the tab off from the bottom of the follower, the mag will hold 5 rounds and they feed well.

Nice
Good magazine, I bought 2 more after I installed the mag well in my new Hunter 700 stock & tried it out, works buttery smooth, light weight, high quality, I really like them

Perfect fit for the Hunter 700L Stock
I recently upgraded a 1980s Remington 30-06 that originally had a blind magazine with the Magpul Hunter 700l stock with their detachable magazine / trigger guard kit. I was very happy with the upgrade, but of course once the rifle was configured for magazines, I needed more than one. Brownells to the rescue. Due to the 2020 ammo shortage I regret that I havent been able to shoot these magazines as much as I would have liked before reviewing. However, they do load perfectly and they seem to feed 5 rounds without issue. If I have a complaint it would be cost, but then thats true of all magazines. Retail on this one is around $50. I expect it would still be a profitable product for Magpul at a $20 price point. That being said, steel equivalent magazines sell for twice the price (and cost more to manufacture), so its still a pretty good value given the market.

Great magazines!
Great magazines...I bought a few of these at a time until I had enough to shoot an entire long range match (50 rounds) without loading a mag during the competition. I have never had a failure to feed or a mag drop out by accident. They cost less than half of an AICS metal mag and they perform flawlessly in my rifles. I use them for my long action hunting rifle as well.

Perfect for Magpul Hunter 700L
I cannot speak to how well this works in other platforms, but in the long action Magpul Hunter 700L (with the magpul bottom metal kit) it fits and functions flawlessly. I have a Remington 700 project gun in 30-06 and the reliability of these magazines, and the other magpul products I've used, has really made the process fun.

Works well with Savage but....
Works well in my Long action Savage, but need to shave the top a little in order to get bolt to slide over magazine. But after that literal 1 minute of work it functions perfectly fine. Using a Savage 110 with MDT chassis.
