There's always a trade-off.
I've used cases and socks, bore-stores, etc. This wire rack system is new to me. I think I like it. Not everything sits in the rack exactly the same; they tilt or "flop" to the right or left, etc. It's not an issue, Perhaps I shouldn't expect this wire rack to custom fit my personal assortment. One thing I like is that I can see my gear at a glance, and they're not hidden away in bore stores. I often forget about some of my gear, so having it visible at eye level is nice. It certainly looks organized this way. No regrets here.

Pistol Racks
I first bought one just to see how well my pistols/revolvers would seat in them. It worked so well, that I bought three more. I still need a couple more, but these fit perfectly in my safe.

Much better rack than the Competitor's version.
I purchased the "other" brand rack(s), from our local shop. Sadly, one was missing a rubber foot on one of the legs; but more importantly- neither rack would set squarely on my safe shelf without wobble, as if the frames were twisted. So I returned them, and ordered the Hornady units here from Brownell's as there were none local.
I'm happy to report that these Hornady racks (I bought two) both sit dead-level on all 4 legs, with no wobble or rocking; and they are ever so slightly smaller in the pistol rack area, which also gives me a better ability to support snub-nose revolvers, micro-compact to full size semi-autos, or other revolvers. I'm also able to tuck mags and speed loaders underneath the applicable sidearms. I'm a happy camper and my safe is so much better utilized.

8 place Hornady pistol rack
Fits well in Liberty safe. Have used before in another safe. Would recomend.
Great Organizer, Space Saver
My gun safe isn't that big and it was getting crowded. The several shelves in there were full of pistols, lying on their sides. The pistol rack allows me to store them vertically, probably doubling the number of pistols the safe could hold practically. Now I've got some extra space I need to fill up!

Excellent quality as you would expect from Hornady. A heavy weight rack with good vinyl protection for the hand guns. I would recommend this to any one.
The height is different on the 4 gun rack. It sits taller.
So, I initially bought the 8-Gun Rack to give this storage system a try, and then I bought the 4-gun rack. Thinking this would give me room for 12 handguns, and it does. I liked the 8 gun rack and gave it 5 stars. What's odd is that the 4-gun rack is about 1/2" taller than the 8-gun rack. I'll probably buy another 8-gun rack and get rid of the four (4) gun rack. Perhaps that seems silly, but it just looks weird and distracts me whenever I visit my gear. First World Problems! 😂
