Smooth cutting reamer
Used this reamer to cut the chamber in a .44-40 WCF rifle barrel liner. I turned by hand, the pilot fit the bore perfectly, and the reamer cut smoothly without chatter. Factory and reloaded cartridges of various brands all chamber fine.
Nice reamer
I used the .357 mag cylinder finishing reamer to "clean up" the factory chambers on my revolver. The reamer is has super fine sharp edges. It was easily turned by hand with little effort. It is a very fine well made tool.
Worked beautifly.
I needed to replace the cylinder on one of my now-out-of-production .357 Mags, and the only good replacement I could find was chambered in .38 Special. This tool did a superb, precise job of deepening the chambers, and the job was done in just a few minutes.
Works a treat!
I've used the product to ream three chambers, and it does exactly what it's supposed to. Sharp enough to cut properly even in a hand-tool, strong enough to use in the lathe. What more could you ask for?
Instructions not included
No instructions on how to use. No indication of how deep into the chamber to go. Good and sharp though.
Great for reworking tight chambers.
I used this to correct a 40 S&W barrel that had an undersized chamber and rough throat. The finish produced is outstanding. Can be used by hand with a tap wrench and good cutting oil like Do-Drill. Just cut a few turns, back out while still spinning, wipe or blow off chips, re-oil and go again. Use extreme care when you are getting close to shoulder area so you just clean up the shoulder. If you have depth mikes, check the headspace depth so as not to exceed SAAMI specs which can be printed off the SAAMI website for free.
Very nice reamer
Not much you can say about a reamer. It's very clean, very sharp and over all nice grinding.
Easy to use and worked quickly.
This tool was rather expensive for a single repair, but the only option for the gun I was working on. It was easy to use and worked relatively quickly. I wish I could comment on its durability, but as mentioned, I have only used it once.
