PISTOL CARBIDE FACTORY CRIMP DIES

PISTOL CARBIDE FACTORY CRIMP DIES Reviews & Ratings

  • Sizes the cartridge while being crimped so every round will positively chamber freely with factory like dependability
  • The adjusting screw quickly and easily sets the desired amount of crimp
  • Trim Length is not critical so this extra operation takes less time than it would if cases were trimmed and chamfered
  • A firm crimp is essential for dependable and accurate ammunition, as it eliminates the problems of poor ignition of slow burning magnum powders
  • Made of steel and features an internal carbide ring
  • Carbide dies do not require the use of case lube

It's a must have to be sure all your loads will pass the case gauge.
I want safe, reliable, and accurate ammunition. This combined with the Lee Undersize Sizing Die are a huge part of ensuring reliability. With just the Undersize Sizing Die, I would have just slightly more than 1% of my rounds fail the case gauge (I use a Shockbottle Hundo case gauge). I added this before my last 500 round reloading session, and not a single round failed the case gauge. --- Some people express concerns that this die will resize the bullet. However, with 9mm that doesn't happen. I contacted Lee, and they stated the dimension of the sizing ring is .378" to .381". The case thickness measured on a wide variety of 9mm brass, and nickel plated brass, cases is .010" to .011". Therefore, using the smallest possible dimension of the sizing ring of .378", and the thickest dimension of cases of .011", the smallest possible dimension is .356". I'm using .355" Blue Bullets, so the die is not resizing the bullet.

Great product!
I've been using Lee dies since I was 12 years old and have always been happy with the results. The rounds are much more uniform and load more smoothly. Makes shooting more enjoyable.

Easy to use
I have these types of dies on other calibers that I have and since I came into a bunch of s & w 40 cal, I just naturally bought another. Easy to set up and use and consistent results.

Uniform Crimping Achieved
I am very pleased with the crimp this Lee die makes on my .45 colt reloads. And it does not seem to create any brass slivers like my other brand factory 3-die set did rather consistently.
