Optivisor is a good value
This is my second pair, and I find them both helpful for fine print and when needing to get a closer look.
Great product
Have used an OptiVISOR 4 for decades. But my +70 years old near vision has declined. The LP5 is like a miracle. All I can say is WOW, what a difference.
Should have bought this years ago!
As advertised and then some - makes detail work much easier and more accurate. I have used it for checkering and repair work.

Indispensable reloading aid
I have found this magnifier an important component of my reloading kit. Perfect for checking bullet seating prior to crimping. Comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. Essential for determining the desired degree of crimp on handgun bullets. Perfect for inspecting fired primers for signs of high pressure. Also great for removing ticks from my dog.
Use these constantly
My vision is 20/20 but the older I get I have noticed that my eyes get tired fast and have a hard time focusing up close. I find that when I use the #3 optiVISOR I can work at a comfortable distance and it really brings the detail out in my work. I use these for everything to include gun smithing ,electronics repair and anytime my grandkids get a boo boo and need me to fix them up. I have worn these for 2 hours straight and not had any issues with eye strain. I've been consider getting the next size stronger (#5) but so far these have been great.
A Handy Sight Enhancing Fitting Tool
A very handy tool for adjustments and fitting. I have two of them. I have one for general work and another one for close in work/fitting. I got tired of switching lenses. I finally bought a second pair.
I have them on pegs on my pegboard. The one for close in fitting has an Opti-Loop on it. I just reach up and grab the one I need.
Mine are old and they have needed some TLC for the sweat band. I have not had a problem with the adjustment fasteners or the lenses.
Besides, my Chapman Driver Bits, it is the tool I grab the most.

For those misunderstanding
For those misunderstanding like I was, the objectification factor is different. Think of it this way. The no 7 optivisor lens will assist you in seeing 2 3/4" clearly at 6" from your viewing lens. SO, it will enlarge a focal distance of 2 3/4" at a distance away from your eyes of 6".
I made the mistake of not creating the proper correlation of the focal plane to the distance away my workpiece is. My genre of work is normally 12" away from my face, and at the minimum of 6-8". For my purposes I should have gone with a No. 3 or a No. 5 instead of a No. 7. Do not go with the minimum distance at which you wish to see, instead choose a good in between distance as well. Trying to find a tool while still looking through this equipment is quite funny for those around you. By choosing a lower power and good in between, you have more flexibility.
The Opti Loupe device, not sold attached, is to increase your magnification by a rough power factor. So a No. 3 visor with an Opti Loupe attached becomes the No. 7 or 10 roughly. Everyone's eyes work differently.
Hope this can be of some assistance to those purchasing this product.

Higher numbers, higher magnification
CHOSE the lower numbers - I ordered the model 10 not realizing that means 10X magnification - I couldn't find anything in the description to this effect. Anyway, I sort of assumed 10 meant 10x. And 10x is WAY too strong to use if you already wear glasses. The images were not coordinate, one lens to the other, so it literally made me sick to try to look through them. I ordered the 2x lens and that works very well with the flip-in lens doubler. I also got the LEDs. VERY dissappointed with the quality of the unit. Cheap plastic, plastic regainers for the lenses, and the LEDs are so weak as to be nearly ineffective. I bought an cheapo knockoff for $15.00 at Amazon and it is about as good. The only thing quality are the lenses themselves, which are glass. Everything else is cheaply made. Oh, and the headband at maximum opening just barely fits my head and I wear a 7 1/4" hat, so if you have a big head it may not even fit! UNfortunately, I can't find anyone with anything better so we are stuck with these. It works, but the idea has such potential it is just a shame no one is making a quality unit - be worth $100.00 if they did!
