TCS O-Ring Cleaning Jag
Okay, I bought a TCS O-Ring cleaning jag for .38/.357 several years ago. At first I didn't like it and left it in my box of cleaning bits and pieces for a long time. I ran into a really dirty and leaded up S&W M52 semi-auto pistol and I was almost ready to give up and haul out my Lewis Lead Remover when my eyes laid on the TCS O-ring cleaning jag. I thought what the heck and hauled it out of the box and gave it a go on my one piece Brownell's cleaning rod. It was really tough getting it thru the bore because of all the fouling in it including lead deposits. I was shocked at how much junk came out of that barrel. Carbon, lead and almost a kitchen sink, but the TCS jag came thru. Now I won't say it was a one pass deal. The barrel was just too crudded up for that, but the jag got the majority of the junk out and then I switched to a Tuff-Brush and worked the barrel and switched back to the TCS jag. I put some Nitro Solvent on a patch and pushed it thru the barrel and let it sit overnight and the next day hit the barrel again with the TCS jag and wet patches and it was absolutely clean! I was amazed at this product.
Be advised it can be tough going with a TCS jag going thru a really dirty barrel and I needed serious pressure on the cleaning rod, but it worked and worked very well. Since then I have purchased a bunch of these TCS O-ring jags for other calibers and they all work well. Just be careful with the smaller calibers and don't allow the patch to get jammed between the bottom of the jag and barrel. I wish I had figured out how to use my original TCS jag when I first bought it, it would have saved me a lot of cleaning time.

Really like how it works. I have used it several times and it has a tight fit and works well with my patches in getting the gunk out.

Makes barrel cleaner
I think it fits the barrel better and takes less patches
Great Item!!
This O-ring jag is the best for shotguns. Wet a patch place it at the muzzle and push it down the barrel!!
Almost a perfect jag.
The only thing I DON'T like about these jags is that they are not spear pointed. Other than that, they're perfect. Nice tight fit. Be sure to take note of the bold typeface sentence at the end of the product description; I use some beefy patches and have a heck of a time getting the first couple patches through a dirty bore. I'd rather have that, however, than using a loop tip and barely getting any bore coverage. Being made of aluminum, these jags can also be used safely with copper remover (brass/bronze are copper alloys and react with it). Jags are one of those "little" products that you normally don't give a lot of thought to... until you use these. This is a brilliant product.
Excellent Product
Easy to use, gives great results. My 410 bores have never been so clean. Cleans evenly around entire bore, unlike patches on regular jags. Should last many years (may require new 0 rings from time to time)
Amazing!!!
In the beginning, there were jags, then TCS came along... Game changer is thrown around quite a bit, well let me tell you this time it is well deserved. I have used all kinds of jags from pellets, parker hale, benchrest, etc... This will pick up contaminants after the others come back clean. It is more efficient and just plain works. As far as the o-rings are concerned. I have cleaned with everything from Hoppes no.9, brake clean, Flitz, KG, Copper remover, Bore paste, acetone, alcohol, all without any sign of degrading. Try this thing out, it is my honest opinion you'll be pleased with the outcome. *Follow the directions regarding patch dimensions*
Best cleaning attachment!
Was skeptical about paying for something like this but couldn't be happier! Leaves a heck of a mirror finish in your barrel!
A must have for cleaning kit
I just got this as I wanted something with a tighter fit to a backbored 12ga sporting clays gun. This works with the thicker patches in the larger bore 12ga gun. I do not know how I got along so long without it!
