Very high quality
Like all Brownells products, excellent quality and value. I use for dovetail sight installation, I would recommend ordering the set.

Great set
I run a professional gunsmithing/custom gun building shop and I have had this set of files for almost 7 years now. Yes, the outer coating does rub off quickly but the files still work for fine work. I think other reviewers have run into trouble trying to use these files where you actually need to remove a lot of material like when fitting parts - use Swiss needle files for that type of work. I have used these for polishing for the better part of a decade and they are still going strong.

Doesn’t work very well
Doesn’t take much material off and doesn’t get where I need it to go

Doesn’t work well
Doesn’t really do much to take off material

FRANKLY, NOT WORTH 2 CENTS TO A GUNSMITH
THESE FILES LASTED MAYBE TWO FITTINGS. ONE OF AN EXTRACTOR ON A SEMI-AUTO AND AN OVERSIZED HAND ON A S&W. I AM SURPRISED THAT BROWNELL'S WOULD EVEN OFFER SUCH AN INFERIOR ITEM TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Not Durable
The diamond coating only lasted a few jobs. It is definitely not a durable tool. It might be OK for a hobbyist, but not for professional gunsmithing.
