The Germans had clean guns but still lost the war
Ballistol, invented in Germany and used by the WWII German forces, is a great all-around cleaner. I use it to clean my weapons, lubricate knives, and apply to my walnut gun stocks and leather belts.

Great for new rifle break-in
I contacted the manufacturer of my recently purchased rifle and they recommended using Ballistol for the traditional break-in procedure of 1 shot/clean x 5, then 5 shots/clean x 5 and so on. Not saying this is only option because I have also used Hoppe’s #9 Black Copper solvent on a different brand of rifle. Email your rifle company for what they recommend. Ballistol does smell, however it will dissipate around 15 minutes.

Also works great for car locks and hinges as well as house doors and locks.
My "Go-to" lubricant
The best multi-purpose lubricant that I use for my firearms, It does it all. Cleans , penetrates and prevents rust. My "go-to" product!
Good stuff
Works as advertised. I’ll advise if I will need to add oil or if it lubricates adequately.
SAFE
I love Ballistol. It's a safe product that works great.
Best there is

Ballistol
This stuff is the best....
Always has been, and more than likely, always will.
Flows freely then turns to a super light grease like viscosity and stays put.
When it is subjected to friction, it turns back into a liquid.
Good All Around Product
CLP style great for multipke purposes, including blackpowder. I use it as a primary cleaner in my shop , just mix as suggested on lsble with water and sosk dirt away. No after rusting
