Fixing up an ancient Marlin 22 of my late father’s. Needed a side mount rail to mount a new scope. Found the rail side mount and rings for the scope without breaking a sweat. It all worked flawlessly for less than I thought it would be.

Properly designed and easily installed
Well, I finally made the switch from my old Lyman peep sights, on a beautiful, incredibly accurate old Mossberg 46a. I was reluctant at first, but I havent regretted it for a moment. The mount is well-machined, properly designed, and easy to install. The two screw mount seemed a little weak at first glance, but after sitting down at the bench, I noticed the screws are very large diameter Machine screws, somewhere around a #12, almost oversized in terms of the typical scope/rail mounts. I used a little carb cleaner to degrease the mounting surface and hole threads, then used a smear of green stud mount under the base, and blue thread locker on the screws. The rifle is as accurate as ever, holds zero, and I dont expect the mount to ever budge. What more could you ask for. And the price, fantastic. If youre considering this mount for your old rifle, dont hesitate, just pull the trigger on it.
Western Ward 1939
Fit right on a Western from 1939. I did have to remove the dust cover from the bolt for it to fit and operate correctly.
Fit my Wards Westernfield (Mossberg 46b)
Perfect fit, seems to be centered over barrel. Screw hole alignment right on the money. Now just have to sight in the scope.

Mounted on my 1935 mossberg (fit was flawless) It was exactly what I was hoping for in a mount, to replace the old bent mount, our 22lr has been a starter rifle in our family for 3 generations and now can continue for generations to come.
New Life For Old Rifle
I mounted this to a Mossberg 46m. It fits perfectly and was no problem to mount myself. I am delighted that I was able to find a product to do exactly what I wanted on what is a fairly old rifle.
