I bought this because I have been looking for some time to get a quality rifle and this struck me as a good price. The purchase got me interested in completing a new build rather than simply swapping out the upper on my current budget rifle. I love the DDC color and wish the upper receiver was the same color, but it is black anodized. Handguard is very light but also seems sturdy and durable. Geissele is known for this. If I had to do over I would probably have chosen to buy a complete Super Duty rifle, but they can be hard to find in 14.5" DDC. This way I can use a B5 stock and BCM grip. It's not really Brownell's fault, but I wish they would use a courier other than USPS. My package got stuck in a loop between Bedford Park, IL and Chicago and back again, which is a common problem for deliveries in my area. I had to submit a lost mail request to get it un-stuck in Bedford Park distribution center. They are currently losing another of my Brownell's deliveries which got sent to Alaska en route from Iowa to Indiana!

Far more accurate than the typical duty rifle.
I bought the 11.5 and already own the 14.5. I've been very impressed with both. Very solid build quality which is what I would expect from geissele, but what I wasn't expecting was how accurate it is. For a duty rifle, far better than the A4 I was issued which was 3 to 4 moa. This one was just over 1 moa with green tip and slightly better with 77gr, which prob has more to do with me. I wish we had these back in 2004. I don't need it but I might get the 10.3 at some point to add to the mk18 as his better looking step brother. You won't regret any of them. Also I shoot unsuppressed but not for long. Comes with a Geissele h3 buffer and super 42. Cherry on top.

For those who don't know, this is now the standard issued M4 upper for the Army Rangers. It's probably the best upper receiver you can purchase for Duty/Combat. The URGI will give you sub MOA accuracy when used with good ammunition. The MLOK rail is a tank. Absolute top quality, buy with confidence and own with pride. USA Baby
