Ruger magazine catch/release
Just interested this on a Ruger Automatic Pistol. This is the predecessor to the Mark I It went in without any need of modifications. It’s great to be able to eject the magazines without the struggles and frustrations. I wish I would have done this sooner.

Great addition to a legendary pistol...
I did not know how much of a PITA the original magazine release was to operate until in installed the Ranch mag release upgrade. Installation is easy, one punch pin to release the original, insert the new one on the proper position with the spring and you’re done. Ejection is smooth and controllable and loading the mag is much easier with the curved guide on the release. If you have a Ruger MK II, it is worth the money and time to upgrade.

This mag ejector is the boss. My old ejector was cumbersome on my Mark I now I have no issues! Smooth Magazine release. Thanks Brownell's and Ranch Products!

Major Improvement
I picked up a Ruger 22 pistol a few years ago, it was the original run pre MK series. I love shooting it but the heel mag release is awful and half the time the release gets stuck between the mag body and base plate. The listing didn't specifically say for the original or MKI but I took a shoot. Install was a little tricky with the spring but popped in with no fitting needed. It works great and mag doesn't get stuck any more.

I recommend this heel release.
I prefer a heel magazine release like on a Ruger MARK I & II pistol. The stock magazine release is fine, but this one is better. Both of my MARK II’s now have this extended magazine release. I recommend this product.

Ruger Standard magazine release
Ruger Standard magazine release is great! Makes removing the magazine super easy. Especially with older magazines with weak springs.

Leveling Mark 1 and 2 magazine compatability
Out of all the magazine release extender options out there, this Ranch Products item the the only real answer. I have an A100 Mark 1, where industry considers Mark 2 magazines incompatible. Entirely untrue with Ranch Products ejector due to its unique shape thereby smoothly allowing Mark 2 magazines to be loaded and unloaded professionally with effortless use. This product provides maximum utility vs competition.
